Update from meeting w/ Max & @usatf on Trials start time:
Everyone is willing to move earlier except LOC, @GreaterORLSport . Even @nbc is willing to broadcast live earlier.
Counting on Orlando to protect the integrity of the event and put athletes’ safety first!

The Olympic Trials should be a race similar to the Games and not a slog of attrition.
@usatf - listen to the athletes. Listen to what we said after the 2016 Marathon Trials where half the field dropped out, in conditions cooler and less humid than Orlando will likely be.
6 days later and @AskCapitalOne still hadn’t figured out how to handle a dupe.
It’s a pretty basic IF/THEN statement:
IF a check has already been cashed THEN
don’t cash it again.
END.
24 hours later and nothing has changed, I still have an unresolved double-cashed check. This really has been the year of questioning our trust in banks.
Did you know that bank checks were invented in approximately 1400? So here we are 600 years later and you'd think @AskCapitalOne would have better safeguards in place for when the same check is cashed twice.

Special shout-out to @CharlesSchwab for also not having safeguards in place to make sure a check doesn’t get deposited twice.
In case you were wondering, #ChatGPT is terrible at writing Youth Baseball lineups. Our expensive and highly critiqued volunteer jobs are safe.
I raced my 8-10 year old baseball players last night and won. I just think the whole world need to know that I’ve still got it.
This week at #cnx23 I have been fascinated with how speaking at a major event is the same as racing in a track meet:
Hours and hours and hours of preparation for something that lasts less than 20 minutes.
Wondering if you can squeeze in one last trip to the bathroom before you have to start.
The internal conflict of knowing that you should savor every minute, but ultimately just wanting it all to to be over so you can change your shoes and put on sweatpants and revel in the satisfaction of a job well done.

Kaleem, @TonyZupancic, @eliotharper, @amanda_sfmc, @chriszullo, @Trovon_Williams, @VinceKarla, @gemliza, @le_diable, @hmccullough_ ....
What do they all have in common? They're just some of the speakers at #CNX23 ready to bring it 👊
Ya, HEARD!!!!
Thank you @cindykuzma for the updates and giving me the opportunity to share my perspective. I have always had mixed feelings about my experience at CU and my takeaway is that it doesn't have to be binary.
I often ask if I would trade my NCAA mile trophy and XC team national championship for a lifetime of a positive body image. This question is, once again, too binary. I may have had these achievements somewhere else, or maybe not.
One thing I can definitively say is that I had fantastic coaches at every phase of my running career. Tony Wells, Chris Turner, Caryl Smith plus very supportive HS coaches / Mark Wetmore and Jason Drake / Brad Hudson and Gags. Damn, I was so lucky.
But the only one of these coaches that ever spoke about my body composition in a negative way was Wetmore.
There is nothing I want to see more than a huge cultural shift at all levels of the sport. I think we have come a long way, mostly powered by strong professional female role models, but there is still work to be done.

I absolutely love being a mother… despite every single system in the US being setup to screw us.
From maternity leave to our kids’ education & safety to the “motherhood penalty” in wages & opportunities.
Motion to take Mother’s Day from a Hallmark holiday to a day of activism!
Today's distraction: I got hundreds of professional headshots using the magic of AI from a bunch of regular photos. Take a look at @sectalabs secta.ai/ref/sv1nw9
