Elon Musk's Twitter debacle is the perfect example of why every billionaire is a policy failure
No one person should be able to do this much damage through sheer incompetence alone

1/ There's one night I will remember most when thinking about Nancy Pelosi - the night I watched her single handedly save health care for 20 million Americans.
It was at the first Democratic caucus meeting after Scott Brown won the special Senate election in Massachusetts.
My PhD orientation included a lunch event on how to apply for food stamps.

I think that kind of work culture can make sense for an early stage startup or if you're doing something really important. Fighting climate change or going to Mars are inspiring goals, while cutting costs on a social media app so Musk can pay his interest payments isn't.

Daughter: 4th-year UVA student. Distraught. In 20-person American Studies class with Devin Chandler. 3:30 today, in fact. "Dad, he's awesome. He always walks into class smiling and cracking jokes." She's talking in present tense.
What class, you ask? "Non-Violence in America."

Dear @Delta,
Please educate your staff that nursing mothers are allowed to carry additional items with them to pump/feed child. My pumping bag and personal cooler are necessities for my baby’s well being and take up very little room between my feet on your flight. -Working Mom – at Georgia, USA

All y’all talking about babies needing to get sick have clearly not spent enough time around sick babies.
I first became a mom through adoption, and I approve this message.
Adopting my child was the biggest and hardest thing I ever did, and would not have been necessary if the US supported families.
The trauma my child faced was due to US policies.

If my kids were able to vote in person, I wouldn’t have tweeted this. Mail absentee voting is intended to allow one to vote even if you’re in school in NYC. But Texas GOP doesn’t want young people to vote.

Almost every college student I know who votes in Texas has submitted a ballot application but not received a ballot which would need to be received by the Elections Administrator Tuesday. My kid just sent me a sad text. “I wanted to help @BetoORourke win.”#votersupression
Dr - are you experiencing any anxiety?
me - crippling. I return to work from my #MaternityLeave in a matter of days & am finding it hard to cope.
her- would you like me to prescribe you something?
Why in the US did we made mat leave a medical issue & abortion a political one?

Turns out my kids - along with over half of the high school - got the flu in part because everyone got breathalyzed at homecoming one after the other and no one cleaned the breathalyzer all evening essentially turning it into a superspreader event. Have we learned NOTHING

Let’s be clear about what “changes” Republicans in Congress want to make to Medicare and Social Security.
They want to raise the retirement age, move towards privatization, and put these programs on the chopping block every five years.

Today:
I tried to prescribe amoxicillin for an ear infection:
The pharmacy didn't have it.
I tried to prescribe Tamiflu for flu.
The pharmacy didn't have it.
I tried to prescribe adderall for ADHD.
The pharmacy didn't have it.
If that doesn't bother you,it should.
