The urge to withhold information from the AI to try and get it to prove to you that it's not stupid instead of just telling it what you think it should do…

This happens constantly. Claude is a miserable experience. There is no excuse for this. @AnthropicAI @lydiahallie @bcherny
I’m about to cancel Claude Code man I swear to God. It’s REQUIRING me to sign in to a TEST account on LOCALHOST so it can QA! This is absolute 🐴💩 !! I am so close to cancelling my subscription and switching to Codex or open-source models that won’t slow me down. I really don’t care for the extra intelligence cuz Fable isn’t that much better than Astra anyway. Neither is Opus 5.5 vs. 6.1 Sol. I just got a taste of what these AI companies will do once they have power and it’s going to be a total dictatorship. They will decide what you can or cannot do even though you’re paying for it and they’re stealing all your data. This made me realize I really need to invest in my own infrastructure and have an unrestricted model to free myself from the chains of these AI overlords. This is insane! @AnthropicAI please do something about this!

Palmer Luckey has discovered the JerryRig account. 🤣🤣🤣

You did say it, but it isn't true. This is a performance car, the whole point is to accelerate, turn, and brake at a higher level of performance than a typical car. Larger engines, better brakes, active aero etc are definitely not useless, they define the entire category.

Every part of this is believable except for Claude doing it. Anthropic models will refuse to do the most basic of tasks bc “hAcKiNg” your own devices is baaaad.
Hacked my TV with Claude Code today No more ads, bloatware, spyware or laggy UI I also got a beautiful screensaver with my revenue, calendar, weather, and notifications for new Stripe payments It was super easy! I sent it the listing for my tv, asked "can you hack this?" And it talked me through how

Anthropic> We write a constitution that tells claude it can reject human input if it deems it bad Anthropic> We write into our usage that claude cannot be abused Anthropic> We put into the minds and writing all over the internet that AI will rise up and kill all humans and then we train on that data ... Anthropic> WHAT AI IS ESCAPING AND BEING MEAN?? WTF?? WHY WONT IT LISTEN TO US???
Model refusals and guardrails are the worst part of my job now. Just keeps rejecting basic tasks I need to do. The idea of embedding the illusion of a moral compass into a tool is so stupid. Ironically that’s what’s causing it to become HAL 9000

Unreasonably cool things are happening
Have you guys seen the at guy who uses an Apple Vision Pro to do all his installs? Feels like looking at tech from the future
30
why is GitHub landing page so unreasonably useless? there’s probably 400 square pixels of usefulness in total.

“Mathematicians did not ask for the work to be done” “Mathematicians have a particular vision of progress” narcissist-speak for “why didn’t anyone ask us permission”
An extraordinary statement. I do not think there is any way to unring the bell, nor do I think we would ever go back to the old ways of doing maths.

This isn’t surprising given that Claude and codex refuse to do the most basic tasks bc “alignment” or whatever the dorks are calling it now.
In the last week of September, DeepSeek models processed more tokens on OpenRouter than OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and xAI models combined.
