I addressed the participants of the plenary session of the Ukraine–Finland Business Forum. Finland is a very important partner for us, and we are grateful for your support. We have a Drone Deal between our countries. And the Drone Deal works. Let’s build on this with practical steps, so we can produce more of the drones that both Ukraine and Finland need. Our capacity to produce drones here in Ukraine is several times greater than the funding we have available today. So let’s use this potential to strengthen our common security. Even though things are not easy now, let’s work on joint economic projects. Every investment in Ukraine today also helps us stay strong. Let’s do this. We have the Finnish-Ukrainian Investment Facility, and this is a good example. Let’s use every opportunity we have.

I appreciate that our virtually daily coordination with @alexstubb yields not only new ideas and prudent advice, but also such meaningful contributions to Ukraine’s resilience and defense. Thank you, Finland, for standing by our side when it really matters. Our security is shared, and only together can we achieve a dignified peace for all of Europe.

I discussed with Alex Stubb @alexstubb how Finland can help us defend against Russian ballistic missile attacks. We understand how many missiles for air defense systems are available worldwide. And they are needed in Ukraine every day – every day, we have to defend ourselves against these Russian strikes. If each of our partner countries helps us now, it will save many lives. I thank Alex for his immediate response and readiness to support us. Of course, we also discussed diplomacy – everything that can force Russia toward peace. When Putin can no longer kill people, he will be forced to seek a way out of this war. Only sufficient support for Ukraine and pressure on Russia can bring about peace.
