One more of the verses of Maksym Kryvtsove, killed on January 7.
Again, the attempt to translate is mine.
(I’ll probably try to do a few more. That’s the least I can do, even if my translations are flawed.)

Some updates on our #hydrohope project
During yesterday we have collected more than 35 000 euros through different channels.
We already have purchased:
- 1000 packs of water cleaning pills
- 15 dirty water pumps with accessories
We are making progress of purchasing:
- water cleaning stations that don’t need reservoirs for storage of water
- clean water preserving pills
- additional water cleaning supplies
- special vehicles for the transportation (not boats)
If you want to help us you have five options:
- donate via GoFundMe campaign gofund.me/20126728
- buy stuff from amazon gift list
amazon.nl/hz/wishlist/ls/1PK…
- donate via zeilenvanvrijheid.nl/donate with reference “Kherson”
- donate via instagram campaign
- like and retweet
Our coordinators are working tirelessly on the other solutions. We will keep you posted.

Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia was released on this day 24 years ago. I am humbled that it is remains popular with so many gamers, particularly those in Europe, and I am so proud of my team for creating such an enduring game. #homm3

Just published a long and personal article: about how my 2022 went, why I still found some time to work on Ruby programming language, and why it matters to me.

such coupling if storage and compute has its benefits but also drawbacks — especially when load is high. Projects like @neondatabase can tackle storage part, and omni_containers might be a good fit for compute!
Want to support Ukraine and new open source development at the same time?
I'm working on github.com/omnigres/omnigres to make Postgres a complete platform.
For every retweet, I'll donate $2. For quoted retweet with your thoughts on Omnigres, $5.
Слава Україні! Glory to Ukraine!
i've been thinking about this in timeseries context: most vendors of tsdbs offer some form of stored procedures and they work well for downsampling, compression, etc. But for more complicated use you often need to go outside db, and do ingest again

while people in the west can play with devices like this one, Ukrainian armed forces use it to defend their country and their freedom. Help them, donate to @zradaqueen @bo_pavlo @electric_vlad
