I’ve never seen a politician get roasted quite like this.
“Maybe voters are sick and tired of that.”
Reporters hammer @Dave_Eby with hardball questions following Monday morning presser.

The Liberal Foreign Minister has some exciting news!
This Liberal government is spending $7.8 million taxpayer money on an affordable housing project.
Unfortunately for Canadians struggling to afford a home in this Liberal housing crisis, the project is in....the Dominican Republic.
The Carney Liberals always find money to send overseas instead of finding savings for Canadians here at home.

Vancouver's newy elected COPE counciller Solomon Yi-Kieran, described progressives well deriding the “cruel austerity of capitalism” while vowing “we didn’t start this class war but we’re going to own it.”
"Vancouver is a progressive city. We’re not a city of Ken Sims and Dallas Brodies. We are a city of progressive values, and people in Vancouver showed up tonight in a big, big way, and I’m so proud of us."

Oh, just fuck off already! 😂 You desperate fucktards are quick to scream racism. How about addressing your own AG’s record and the allegations surrounding your MPs’ anti-Semitic comments? 🤡 Funny how accountability disappears when it’s your own side under scrutiny!
That is SO WRONG who is the judge

Newly elected Vancouver school trustee Derrick Okeefe pledges to “fight for international solidarity” as part of an “international movement.” COPE also wants non-citizens voting in Vancouver elections.
Vancouver’s schools need local priorities, not global agendas.

If you live in Vancouver and didn't bother to vote in the civic election - this is what you allowed to happen. They're coming for you.
Credit David Eby with destroying what’s left of the forest industry, and industry I worked in for 30 years, an industry that was the economic engine of B.C. for a hundred years. He needs to go before all of those good jobs are gone forever.

*** BC’s public sector has grown nearly four times faster than its population ***
In 2019, BC’s public sector employed about 418,000 people. Today it employs about 612,000, an increase of 46.4%. Over the same period, private-sector jobs grew just 3.3% and the population grew about 12%.
If the public sector had grown at the same pace as the population, it would employ about 468,000 people today instead of 612,000. That’s a gap of roughly 143,000 jobs. At an average total compensation of $90,000–$93,000, those jobs cost about $13 billion a year, or roughly $2,280 per resident.
BC’s projected deficit for 2026/27 is $13.8 billion (First Quarterly Report, September 2026).

Exactly the uncertainty being seen by the BC real estate sector. Appraisers are assessing land in Richmond within the Aboriginal title area at 40 to 70% below pre-Cowichan land values, with the effects now reaching across BC

Sad state of affairs but a reality I guess landowners in BC must now face. I’m going to list my “forever” home shortly in the hopes of cashing in on my investment and reinvestment elsewhere. If fee simple title is voided I’d be negligent to maintain status quo. I love BC but…
