Nicki got so tired of people disguising their agenda as friendship, using her loyalty as a stepping stone to a feature/endorsement, that she made sure none of them would ever want one again. I don’t know if she’ll ever return to music, but I do know that Nicki truly no longer feels obligated to anybody. Solo Nicki is a powerful Nicki.

Veto literally means to reject, prohibit, or refuse to allow something. It isn’t exclusively a constitutional power reserved for presidents and government officials. It’s also used figuratively to express strong opposition or rejection. So when Nicki says, “I don’t vote, I veto,” she’s using wordplay to communicate that she doesn’t simply participate in a choice! she rejects or shuts down what she doesn’t support. The phrase is rhetorical, not a government policy announcement. You understood the words perfectly well enough to get offended, but somehow couldn’t understand the figure of speech. Maybe the problem isn’t Nicki’s vocabulary, maybe it’s your comprehension.
