Sent an overnight to Sweden @ParcelHero only to be told it’s still in my local depot and could be there for a long time. Blaming COVID and brexit but still taking money for a service they can’t provide. Please help, client will demand a refund on goods not delivered

🌎We’ll be awarding globes to the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Award winners. They’re handmade by @landerandmay globe makers. They follow the traditional method of making a papier mache ball skimmed with plaster then covered with printed paper gores, then sealed and varnished.

Recent 13” diameter #globe with a spalted sycamore base. The distinctive markings are created by naturally occurring spores that attack the timber and as a result the bases are as unique as the personalised globes. Thanks to Andy at Fortune Woodturner #globemaker #cartography

.@landerandmay globes are all handmade & follow the age-old traditional method of making a papier mache ball skimmed with plaster for a smooth robust finish, covered with printed paper globe gores, then sealed & varnished.  It is a slow, meticulous process, taking time and care.

Obviously I like all of my globes equally but I think this new one is my favourite ( just don't tell the others!) At 24" diameter there is plenty of detail, even bathymetric, showing all major throughs and… instagram.com/p/B0-z1gMpl_p/…
