The power of #Robotics and #Autonomous Systems (RAS) comes from leveraging information and data shared between multiple systems. Without this connectivity, RAS cannot operate. Discover our blog and video on the heart of the #RAS ecosystem: Information. ow.ly/q78P50Cq4zp
The next drop in our series of content on Enacting Prototype Warfare. This time we look at how RAS could have been employed during a major river crossing op. Hypothetical, obviously. But a useful thought experiment.
Robotics and #autonomous systems play a key role in today's operational environments. But how would battles of years past have looked with the use of modern day technologies? We take a look using a famous WW2 scenario in our latest blog here:

Hey @VodafoneUK - coming home from wknd away and being told I owe £9k in roaming charges isn’t a great look. Taking >90mins to get through to customer service isn’t massively helpful either. Feel for your staff. “Yours isn’t the worst complaint today. Someone had a £25k bill.”😳

2. The subject of a ban on lethal autonomous weapon systems is also explored. The comments on the practical difficulties of enforcing such a ban are accurate - and in all likelihood - understated. Countermeasures are increasingly going to become part of the equation.
1. This article is well worth a read. But with MGen Ryan’s observation held clearly in mind. We have values and laws to uphold and stepping outside those is far from desirable.
While I understand the attraction of these systems, it is more important that our military institutions reflect the values of our people. An interesting @TIME article on the Chinese and Russian approaches to the development of lethal autonomous systems. ow.ly/X2sG30pwXIA
