a nightly update has been released, which includes a new utility (upgrade tool) that removes manual intervention and helps validators upgrade smoothly
consider upgrading soon, as some improvements have been included in the runtime:
I see some concerns about the Hyperliquid listing delay. To be clear, we did not initiate the vote to list there and are in no way affiliated with Nova. It was entirely community led and we told everyone that we would do what's necessary, but did not have it on our immediate roadmap.
Once it became evident that Nova will not be following through on the initial listing plan, we announced that we will do it ourselves instead to honor the community vote. However, some days later the focus has shifted entirely to security, as described in my pinned post, where it remains to this day. Security will always be our number one priority as long as real funds are involved. Listings do not matter if security is compromised.
We publicly commit to eventually listing on Hyperliquid spot, but porting a bridge and a token to a new chain is not a quick task on the side. Once all essential network updates are released, we will prioritize this, along with all other plans that were previously announced.
Update: @octralabs will be deploying wrapped OCT and the native bridge on HyperEVM in preparation for listing on Hyperliquid spot markets. We aim to finalize the process this week. Perps will probably take longer and depend on spot volumes, Nova and the Hyperliquid community.
← what you see: a circle
what i see: an ephemeral instance with its own code, persistent state, keys, access control, encrypted state and no permanent host
a circle is not a vm running on someone’s computer, a circle is *the* computer with a distributed fheOS installed

Replying to @octralex
I've built the scaffolding for this solution; will be ready as Octra progressively drips features.

In most languages, you hunt allocations down with a profiler and they creep back the moment you touch the hot path.
Jane Street's superset of OCaml lets you flip that around: annotate a function and the compiler refuses to build if anything in its call tree touches the heap.

Built actual SQLite inside an Octra Circle. Thought this was a key primitive for rapid development on Octra.
Guided setup and full CLI modeled after SQLite with Octra-specific commands and info.
Accessible for API builds and agent interactions.

You can spend your time and energy on conferences, podcasts, posturing, promises, narratives, chasing flavors of the month, faking metrics and propping up ecosystem dev activity, all of which inevitably leads to some drama. Or you can spend it on the tech.
Simple obfuscation of wallets, transfers and programs doesn't feel like the endgame for privacy. Operating directly on encrypted data does. FHE ties it all together neatly, with nodes performing heavy but meaningful tasks, while keeping the state composable and verifiable.

currently studying @octra, made a neat chart. i'm working on the formal verification (in lean 4) of their hfhe system, which is slowly approaching completion, but i still need to plug some knowledge gaps and do more investigative work. additionally planning on doing more graphs that demonstrate the encryption and decryption process, and how the homomorphic operations work.
An in-depth overview of the @octra bridge by @DefiLlama Research team is out. It covers how assets can move between public and private states, and not just chains. The bridge is becoming a standalone product, and also part of a broader EVM privacy stack being released gradually.
Two components, one @octra thesis:
> Bridge brings assets from Ethereum into encrypted state
> Circles gives devs a private substrate to build apps inside that same environment
Together, privacy is persistent infrastructure, not an anonymity pool:
