I had a great conversation with the UK Prime Minister @AndyBurnham, and we are grateful to Britain for its unwavering, strong, and truly leading support. Today, Britain made a strong decision to provide an additional £10 billion in financial support – £7 billion in economic support over the next three years, and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily for the supply of much-needed weapons that will strengthen our protection of lives. This is on top of the annual support Britain already provides to Ukraine. A truly strong and very timely step – coming right as Russia needs to see and feel that Ukraine will not be left alone to deal with the problems Russia is so eager to escalate. Every step to strengthen Ukraine brings Russia closer to realizing that it must end this war of its own making. Of course, Andy and I also discussed sanctions policy, and Britain will remain principled on this – setting an example that matters globally. I am grateful to Britain, to Prime Minister Andy Burnham and his team, and to every person around the world who understands that standing with Ukraine is the right thing to do – that it means being on the right side of history. 🇺🇦🇬🇧

270 of our people are home. A very important result. National Guard members, including Azov warriors, border guards, warriors of the Territorial Defense Forces, the Navy, the Land Forces, the Airborne Assault Forces, and the State Special Transport Service, as well as nine civilians, are returning home. Most of them had been in captivity since 2022. Most of those released are warriors who defended Ukraine in Mariupol. Defenders from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv sectors are also returning. Many were illegally convicted in Russia. Among those returning are five people who survived the Russian terrorist attack in Olenivka in July 2022. We remember one and all and continue searching for everyone. I thank everyone who works to make these exchanges possible. And, of course, I am grateful to our warriors who are replenishing Ukraine’s prisoner exchange fund on the front so that we can bring our people home. Glory to Ukraine!

Today, we continue our cooperation with Finland – and very substantively. We are working comprehensively with the Government of Finland – with Prime Minister @PetteriOrpo. Thank you for this cooperation and for this level of relations between our countries. We have a new support package for Ukraine from Finland – and, in addition, agreements that expand our opportunities for cooperation. Seven documents have been signed – the total value of today's agreements is €300 million. We agreed to make greater use of Finland's satellite capabilities – this is important for our defense and Ukraine's resilience. We reached agreements on this with Nokia and ICEYE. Thank you for your readiness to support our logistics and energy sector – these are Russia's key targets right now. And having more locomotives, more energy equipment, and more funding to protect energy infrastructure will really help.

I discussed with President of the Storting @MasudGh and the leaders of all Norwegian political parties the decisions that can support Ukraine now, as Russia strikes our country virtually every hour. In particular, we discussed financial assistance and the shortfall in our defense budget. Alongside support from the European Union, assistance from non-EU countries that support us bilaterally is also important, and Norway is ready to help. We also discussed the Ukrainian children abducted by Russia and our work to bring them home. Together, we can certainly do more. Thank you! Norway is among the leaders in assistance to Ukraine. We are very grateful to the parliamentarians, the government and all the people of Norway for such unity around Ukraine and for supporting our people at every level.

Today, we had important talks with our American partners and with our other partners from Europe. Steve Witkoff was also here with us in Oslo, and Jared Kushner joined us online. Ukraine immediately supported American proposal for an energy ceasefire. But Russia responded by continuing its attacks. We offered different options. We are ready not to hit sensitive parts of Russia’s energy sector if Russia stops hitting ours. Putin said no. But we’re working to find a solution. We have some clear ideas on how to get to peace. And we are united with our European partners in this effort, and we want the Americans to take these ideas to the Russians. One of the important ideas is to move to a potential trilateral meeting of the leaders to address the issues that only the leaders can do. Steve is going to Russia tomorrow.
