The thing about Adam Schlesinger is that he was a once in a lifetime genius. Not only did his bands rule— he also wrote ALL your favorite songs that fictional bands/popstars play!! (That Thing You Do, Josie & the Pussycats, most of the songs on Crazy Ex-GF and in Music & Lyrics)

Samantha Murphy was a business woman, an athlete, a valued theatrical community member, a mother, sibling and daughter who was so loved by her community that they searched for her for weeks - allegedly murdered by some #goodbloke whose parentage is totally fucking irrelevant.

So Dutton has got his result. What a gross, irresponsible disgrace he is, the swill of the sewer. Please RT if you agree. abc.net.au/news/2024-01-15/q…

Why don't we start a rumour that Australia Day flags and thongs have 5G antennas in them, just to mess with their minds

Labor’s missed opportunities:
- Not legislating @zalisteggall’s truth in political advertising bill
- No Murdoch Royal Commission
- No media misinformation laws
- No significant action on pressing cost of living issues
- Long Referendum campaign
- Ongoing decay in ABC

I keep bursting into tears about Sinead O’Connor. Don’t know why.
Maybe because she was “one of us”…
One of “us”, that is…
If we were braver
More clear sighted
Had more genius and damage boiling in our blood
The “us” we might be if we were not so afraid of power
If we were willing to lose it all for the sake of the truth 🙌💔

Sinead was a force of nature. A brilliant songwriter & performer whose talent we will not see the like of again. Such passion, such intense presence & a beautiful soul, who battled her own personal demons courageously. Be at peace dear Sinead, you will forever be in our hearts. t

Dearest @vanbadham you brought tears to my eyes when you wrote your public school teachers refused to let you drown. With this brilliant article you are returning the favour because now they are drowning. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Clear, honest facts about sex are not porn. They are education. Sex is not dirty or shameful. Understanding the facts of life (as they used to be called) is protective for teens. Ignorance only increases vulnerability. I stand with @yumichild

FUCK YEAH FURIOUS that Nadine J. Cohen, who fights so hard for justice and safety, has been banned for a silly joke.
Her book is out soon and this platform would have been invaluable for promoting it. Don't let it get lost because of that guy.

Unions give people the power to achieve things they would not be able to achieve alone.”
