It was taken on Purim. I'm next to my best friend Rachel - we decided to both wear Mushroom-pattern dresses. I met Rachel’s dad after WWII. He collapsed when he saw me.
Everyone but me (and my sister) in this photo died in Auschwitz.
I want more op-eds advocating for compassionate policies for working parents and empathy for parents of children under 5 and fewer op-eds like this one advocating to put unvaccinated children in settings where they will be exposed to the virus. mercurynews.com/2022/02/02/o…
Maybe it’s not daycare rules that don’t make sense, but our expectations of working parents when we are still in a pandemic and 2000 people are dying every day.
