H.P. Lovecraft was born on this day in 1890. A strange, reclusive New England writer who spent much of his life in obscurity… and somehow ended up reshaping horror forever. Arkham. Innsmouth. The Necronomicon. Cthulhu. Ancient gods sleeping beneath the earth and stars that absolutely should not be looked at too closely. 😆 Lovecraft didn’t just write monsters. He made the universe itself terrifying. His influence runs straight through horror fiction, movies, heavy metal, video games, and, hell yes, Dungeons & Dragons. So today, on his 136th birthday, raise a glass to the old gentleman from Providence. Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn. Happy Birthday, H.P. Lovecraft. August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937

RIP to Reggie Bannister. 1945 - 2026.
