WOW. Big news. The Assembly of Treaty Chiefs just dropped a bomb on Danielle Smith. Treaty 6, 7 & 8. United. Unanimously calling for an RCMP and Auditor General investigation into whether the Premier and her UCP government committed TREASON under Section 46 of the Criminal Code of Canada. The Chiefs met on Treaty 7 territory in Calgary on June 16 and voted as one — pushing a separation referendum that puts Canada’s sovereignty at risk, trampling the Treaty relationship, ignoring privacy violations affecting millions, and opening the door to foreign interference. That’s the case they’re laying out. And they’re going back to the source. When Treaty was signed, the Northwest Mounted Police — now the RCMP — made a promise: protect First Nations, protect these Territories. The man said that the switch from AISH to ADAP was the last straw for him and he was going to take his own life. He told us not to bother trying to stop him. We did anyway. I found his physical address in seconds, Zachary Weeks reached out to the RCMP. We did what we could. A few minutes ago we received word that the man did, in fact, succumb to suicide. I am gutted. We all are. Mostly because we're all terrified that this is going to happen again over the next few months as people become victims of this government's callousness and their own despair. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911. For urgent mental health support, Albertans can access: Alberta Mental Health Help Line: 1-877-303-2642 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline Kids Help Phone 1-800-668-6868/text 686868 (under 20yrs)
