Earning the Black Jacket is about so much more than mowing 50 lawns, it represents commitment, character, service, and the determination to finish what you started. Every lawn mowed for someone in need is another step toward earning something that cannot simply be bought; it has to be earned through hard work and giving back to others. When a young person puts on that Black Jacket, I want them to remember every hot day, every challenge, every person they helped, and every moment they could have quit but chose to keep going. The jacket is a symbol that says, “I made a commitment, I served my community, I didn’t give up, and I finished what I started.” It is something they should wear with pride for the rest of their lives.

Not to sound like a broken record - but we keep breaking records. BNA reached 93° today, which not only beats the old daily record of 89°, but is also the latest in a calendar year we've ever reached 92°+.

God Bless the Cajun Navy and all those affected by the Hurricane
When the days are long and hot, and our bones and joint ache, and we smell like hot garbage and chainsaw fumes... This is the type of energy that keeps our mission going. You're quite welcome, Sir! 🫡

You can also bid on my pink lawn mower! 🎀💗 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to a nonprofit that supports those impacted by breast cancer. I’m currently deciding which organization the funds will go to, so if you know of a great breast cancer nonprofit doing meaningful work, please send me their name. I’d love to consider them! I will personally deliver the mower to whoever wins the bid . Link: weareraisingmen.com/tour/

It’s still hard to comprehend the sheer amount of destruction Hurricane Isaias left behind in Pace, Florida. If you own or operate a food truck, please consider bringing it to our community. The few restaurants that have managed to reopen are overwhelmed, operating at maximum capacity, and quickly running out of food and supplies. Many families have lost more than just power. Fallen trees and house fires have destroyed homes, generators, refrigerators, and the emergency supplies people were counting on to get through the aftermath. Our community is hurting, and the demand for hot meals and accessible food is growing. If you have the ability to come help serve Pace and Milton, your presence would make a tremendous difference right now. Please share this with any food truck owners or operators who may be able to help.

Water service is restored on Navarre Beach, but a precautionary boil water notice remains until testing confirms it’s safe to drink. Residents may return home. Emergency Operations says visitors should NOT go to Navarre Beach at this time.

Such an incredibly worthy program for kids! If you don't know the story, look up Rodney and how he got the original idea. Talk about a God nudge!
Family, I’m excited to share a special opportunity! ❤️ Two North Alabama chapters of Modern Woodmen of America have generously offered to match donations up to $5,000 for our nonprofit organization , Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service! That means we have an opportunity to raise $10,000 which will be used to purchase brand-new lawnmowers for kids who complete our 50 Yard Challenge next year! Donations now through October 25th will be counted towards the matching . Whatever we raise we will report to them . Donation can be made to : weareraisingmen.com/donate/ . Thank you, Modern Woodmen of America, and everyone who continues to believe in what we’re building together! For information about Modern Woodmen of America chapters, contact: Suzanne Carpentier, Activities Coordinator 978-500-2523 or Jeff Eatin, Financial Representative 256-893-2195.

Way to go Alex!!!
** stopped to a kid that competed the 50 yard challenge while in Fargo** Family, please help me congratulate Alex of Fargo, ND , on completing our 50 Yard Challenge! Alex mowed 50 free lawns for the elderly, people with disabilities, single parents, and veterans in his community. What an incredible accomplishment and a great example of giving back!

Rodney needs help finding Breast Cancer patients in a few States to serve & highlight!
Family, I need your help! 💗 As I continue my 50-state mowing tour for Breast Cancer Awareness, I’m still looking for individuals in Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, and Hawaii. If you know someone currently battling breast cancer, a survivor, or someone who has lost a loved one to this disease, please reach out! I would love the opportunity to mow their lawn, sit down with them, hear their journey, and share their story with the world. Every story matters, and every story has the power to inspire, educate, and give someone else hope. 💕 Even if you’re in a state I’ve already visited or have scheduled, please don’t hesitate to submit your information. Plans sometimes change, and I’ve already had a few cancellations along the way. Thankfully, I’ve been able to find others to take those spots. And even if we can’t meet in person, I would still love to help your voice be heard! You can send me a photo along with your story by texting (938) 309-3909, and I would be honored to share it. Thank you all for continuing to support this journey and helping me remind those affected by breast cancer that they are not alone. Together, we’re spreading hope, one lawn and one story at a time. 🎀💗
