Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, chaired a preparatory meeting today at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, to review the agenda and planning for the upcoming workshop scheduled to be held on 8th and 9th October 2025 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

A high-level meeting was held on 10th July 2025 in New Delhi under the leadership of Hon’ble Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers of India, Shri J. P. Nadda (@JPNadda), ahead of the official delegation's visit to Saudi Arabia.
KRIBHCO MD Shri M. R. Sharma, along with heads of other fertilizer companies who are part of the delegation, participated in the discussion focused on securing long-term DAP supply and strengthening India–Saudi cooperation in the fertilizer sector.

A review meeting, chaired by Hon’ble Ministers of State for Cooperation, Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar and Shri Murlidhar Mohol, was held to review the progress made on the directions issued in the previous meeting and to deliberate on key matters related to media outreach, publications, and the publicity strategy of the Ministry of Cooperation and all national-level cooperative federations.
The discussions emphasized the need to strengthen communication efforts, enhance media outreach, and explore innovative strategies to increase public engagement in alignment with the Ministry’s overall objectives.
All officials and stakeholders were directed to develop a comprehensive roadmap to expand the reach of their social media platforms to include members, cooperative societies, beneficiaries, and other associated individuals. They were also instructed to ensure the timely and effective dissemination of relevant information, thereby facilitating the successful implementation of initiatives at the grassroots level.
Additionally, the importance of consistent branding, unified messaging, and leveraging regional languages to maximize outreach and inclusivity was also highlighted during the meeting.

The CoopConnect Division of NCUI conducted a webinar on the topic "Successful Cooperative Business Model" on 30th May 2025. More than 30 students attended it.
The session was taken by Rajeev Sharma and Ritesh Dey, Executive Directors, along with Anant Dubey, Deputy Director. They collectively briefed participants on the foundational concepts of cooperatives, shared examples of successful cooperatives across India, and highlighted key initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Cooperation and the NCUI to promote and support the cooperative sector.
Professor Dr. Rajeev Patel and Dr. Lokesh Jain from Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad and Rajesh Kumar Shanabhai, Principal, and other faculties from Shri Narmada Gram Vidyapith, Mangrol were also present in the webinar and they shared grassroots experiences, and educational approaches that emphasize the importance of cooperatives in sustainable community development. The session concluded with a Q&A interaction.
