🇺🇸Washington: Our upstream will be performing a full network rebuild in Washington, replacing their existing network stack with a new footprint to improve long-term performance and reliability. Activity is expected to last several hours between October 27 and October 31. This work is service impacting, and a full outage is expected for the duration of the work. We will confirm a more specific time window here and on status.kyun.sh when our upstream relays it to us.
We have performed emergency reboots of all hypervisors earlier today to patch yet another KVM escape, CVE-2026-99999. We are currently performing an audit to rule out any potential compromise.

Kyun NL is back up and stronger than ever. blog.kyun.sh/p/nl-third-time…
The server has been picked up. We would like to thank airnode.nl for pressing our previous upstream into giving it up and picking it up personally.
We expect it to come back up at the new upstream later this week, or early next week. We will swap the disks from this server into a new one to restore service until we fully diagnose it and ensure it has no hardware faults.
🇳🇱NL update: The server is currently failing to boot and reporting a hardware failure. Upstream still hasn't provided us with a more exact diagnosis. We apologize for this delay, we are doing the most we can and have already put things in motion to move to a better NL upstream. More details will be discloased at a later date.
We've heard some complaints regarding unprofessionalism and hurt feelings on the Kyun group chat on Telegram. Apparently, some people actually expected it to be a serious group.
To remediate this issue, we've created a serious, official Kyun channel. t.me/channelkyun
