We’re disappointed to hear reports of racist abuse towards Swansea’s Jisung Eom during Tuesday’s Championship game at Millwall. Both clubs have condemned the incident, and it’s positive that Millwall and match officials followed the right protocols so that action can be taken to identify any individual responsible. In that moment, protocols are in place to help match and security officials respond appropriately. That ensures that players are protected and key details are captured so that accountability can follow, regardless of how long it takes. Player welfare should always take precedence over the momentum or flow of a match, and it’s essential that managers and all leaders recognise this and set the tone with their language so that everyone can stand up to discrimination.

The BBC post states ‘report of racial chanting’. I took the exact wording from that post and said the REPORT of racial chanting, I’ve used the facts 🤣👍🏾
Replying to @kylewalker115
It wasn't racial chanting. It was a comment from one individual. Typical of a Sky reporter, not letting facts get in the way. Hope we ban Sky.

Pretty depressing to see a manager openly admit they ‘don’t see the point’ of why a game is stopped due to the report of racial chanting. I understand it’s just a quote without full context (I’d like to see a clip of him actually saying it), but it doesn’t make for good reading.
The second half of Millwall's 1-0 defeat to Swansea was paused for around six minutes after a report of racial chanting at the Den Lions boss Alex Neil says the stoppage didn't help his team 🦁 Listen in full 📲bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0pgjb… #Millwall #BBCFootball

There are times when you think AI has gone too far, but then there are moments when you see Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air scoring Mesut Özil's goal against Ludogrets, and suddenly it all feels worthwhile.

I understand the reason behind moving some fans to flexi season tickets (even though I disagree with it) @ManCity, but what’s the point in having a window that closes BEFORE a new date is announced for the fixture? Surely wait to see if those fans can do the new fixture date?

I'm in bits at the TV producer cutting to that wide shot thinking it was a touching moment of some young fan getting Isak's shirt and instead he's shamed *the life* out of some bloke snatching it off him. Incredible tele.

Such sad news. Used to love having Webby on @BBCRadioManc on a regular basis. Even as a blue I could disagree with him, argue, laugh and then carry on as normal. A proper manc and a true gent. RIP Webby ❤️
It’s with deep sorrow and unimaginable grief we announce the passing of Darren (Webby) yesterday on 12th August after a long battle with cancer. Darren absolutely loved life, his family, friends, followers and his beloved United 🇾🇪

Rodri. This is how you build a legacy. Won the Golden Ball after leading Spain to their first World Cup in 16 years. Completed more passes in the competition’s history for the second time in a row. They said Ballon d’Ors shouldn’t go to DMs, but now they get the message.

2 - Jude Bellingham is the first player to score two goals at the Estadio Azteca in a FIFA World Cup game since Diego Maradona in 1986 against Belgium in the semi-final. There were just 98 seconds between his two strikes. Lightning.
