What we are learning is that it is very easy for Mark Carney to say things. Results? Much tougher.
PM Mark Carney pledged to ‘Buy Canadian.’ Since then, $7.8 billion in contracts went to American corporations, @fx_plante reports thestar.com/news/canada/pm-m… Find out more at nationalnewswatch.com

“Maia Johnson, the American Democrat who is Carney’s chief operating officer, continues to get a free ride from a press corps that everyone knows would be all over what would be a massive scandal were a Conservative PM to hire a Republican operative to run Canada during a trade war with the US.” petermenzies.substack.com/p/…

Our energy sector wasn’t the only one that suffered a lost decade. From General Eyre’s memoir: “Our international standing and relevance were in freefall, and our members around the world reported being excluded from more meetings, including with Five Eyes partners. I shared these observations with a very senior public servant, who was quite candid in stating the government didn’t care.” theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

I'm old enough to remember when Mark Carney told Canadians that he thought the biggest national security threat to Canada was China. Now, it seems he won't sign a trade deal with the U.S. if it restricts his ability to trade with our biggest national security threat. Weird.

And yet here in Canada Carney and his Liberal MP's are opening up the doors to Chinese autos and strategic alliances! Absolutely nuts.
Dutch intelligence with an in-depth warning about Chinese EVs. Follows today's MI5 warning. Europe's security services are screaming from the rooftops about the threat from Beijing while governments sit on their hands.

Let me get this straight, Liberal insiders get to keep the money, but a CRA audit of a trucking business in my riding has almost bankrupt the owner. This is the epitome of how the Liberals run our country.

This is devastating news for everyone who has lost their job. Especially now with how hard it is to make ends meet these days. Canadian steel producers are under enormous pressure. There are three things creating thr perfect storm for Canadian steel producers. 1. The Industrial Carbon Tax. Steel producers estimate it will cost them 500 million dollars by 2030. The PM could axe it today. 2. Unfairly subsidized and dumped steel from China. Again, the PM could fix this, but instead has chosen a strategic alliance with China. 3. Trump Tariffs. Everyone knows and agrees that this is an extremely difficult problem to solve. However, if the PM dealt with 1 and 2 , steel producers could weather the storm from 3. It's time for the PM to act.

Statement on behalf of @LiUNACanada and International Vice President @joemancinelli The reported loss of approximately 350 jobs at Stelco is a devastating blow to Hamilton workers, their families and our community. This is the real cost of tariff chaos and political brinkmanship: uncertainty for local industry and hardworking people left to bear the consequences. Steelworkers, like all workers, deserve more than talking points. They need urgent action to protect Canadian steel production and the good jobs our communities depend on. Hamilton’s strength has always been its people. Together, we must stand up for workers, protect our industries and secure a stronger Canada.

- Our primary focus should remain on those who have lost their jobs and their families - this is awful and heart wrenching for them - This news is difficult to absorb knowing we are not at the table negotiating to resolve this dispute - It should raise further questions about getting closer to China as cheap Chinese steel has been dumped in Canada and harmed our industry

350 Stelco steelworkers are losing their jobs in Hamilton, following major job losses at Algoma Steel and ArcelorMittal. This is another devastating blow for Canadian workers, their families, and our steel industry. The Prime Minister needs to turn his rhetoric into reality and deliver for steelworkers who cannot fill their gas tanks with signing ceremonies or pay their mortgages in speeches. We must unleash Canadian businesses with the fastest permits, lowest taxes, and freest economy so they can hire, make, grow, invent, and build right here at home. Conservatives will continue to fight every day to save Canadian jobs and deliver an affordable, safe, and independent country.

This is horrifying. Heather Thomas was just 10 years old when she was abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered. She never got the chance to grow up, learn to cook, build a career, or live the life that was stolen from her. Her killer, Shane Ertmoed, is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder. Last year, he was denied day parole over concerns he could pose a risk of serious harm. Now, thanks to Liberal laws, he has been granted a 60-day unescorted absence to attend a cooking program. Our laws should protect innocent Canadians and put victims first, not give convicted child killers opportunities outside prison that their victims will never have. Canadians deserve a justice system that puts public safety, accountability and the rights of victims ahead of privileges for violent offenders.

Happy Sukkot to my Jewish friends. To my non-Jewish friends - this is just the contingent of police officers protecting just one Shul in Toronto. Grateful to them for being there.... shame on all of us that they have to be. Shabbat Shalom

Legit.
So it’s not a national security risk to disclose extremely hypothetical war planning to the New York Times. But it does pose a national security risk to disclose before Parliament a deal he walked away from? On behalf of millions of anxious Canadians for whom this isn’t a Liberal political game, we have many, many questions. ctvnews.ca/world/article/ana…

Because the CBC has become an institution that fundamentally broken because of left wing ideological capture.
I don’t understand why this CBC journalist is facing disciplinary action. He describes facing threats while attending a synagogue service and provides context with rise of antisemitism, terror attack and guest speaker. Thread is accurate. What’s the issue? nitter.cf/NEWSneil/status/210220…
