I'm finally in a good position to start saving some money to potentially buy a house... right as the government is on the verge of inflating those savings away

Exactly For the sake of the country/society we need a massive real estate correction
The only thing more scary than another 2008 style housing crash is not having another 2008 style housing crash.

Fuck this Squatting is starting to look more and more justifiable
In Tennessee, sleeping in your own car can land you in prison for six years. Not a fine. Not a warning. A felony. Cities across the US keep passing ordinances that ban sleeping in vehicles, and the people getting caught are the ones with nowhere else to go. You lose the apartment, you keep the car, and the car becomes the last thing standing between you and the sidewalk. Then the law shows up and makes that a crime too. The logic folds in on itself. Punish someone for being homeless by handing them a record that makes housing and work even harder to get. A blanket in a back seat. Six years.

If @THORChain does survive, $RUNE to $50 $XMR probably doubles in short order too

Is there a single VPN out there that can be absolutely vouched for as FOR SURE doing what it's supposed to do and not logging data?

By 2030, if your salary/wage isn't 2x what it is today you're getting eaten by inflation

If they do inflate away the debt, no other country would probably do "business" with us ever again Probably not going to happen Although I guess they're kind of already doing it

Is a paid off house priority #1 in this situation? Once hyperinflation starts I wonder if they'll ever be in reach again
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Trump says inflation could pay down the $40 trillion US national debt "very rapidly."

Tools being imolemented to stop criminals today (specifically hackers), will be used against regular people that don't comply with the government's every whim later This is why permissionlessness (neutrality) of crypto is so important

Hey @reoindustries does this mean you can get away from the turbo?
The Trump administration will repeal Biden-era fuel economy standards. The original target goal of a manufacturer's fleetwide average of 50.4 mpg by 2031 will be brought down to just 34.5 mpg. The administration claims it will slash new car prices by around $930.

.@THORChain and @Maya_Protocol are the only permissionless/neutral protocols in existence
SHIELD is our collaborative security system to keep our users, integrators, and liquidity providers safe. We want to make NEAR Intents the safest place to trade onchain or offchain. Hope to share more about SHIELD in the coming months 😁

I don't see how people can see what @THORChain demonstrates (permissionlessness in the face of pressure) over and over and not want to ape thorchain:native

What this BitGet hack has proven once again, is that centralization/CEXs are inherently unsafe and risky I'm always so stunned at the @THORChain outrage when all it does is practice the original crypto ethos Maybe one of the last projects doing so? Go back to tradfi/fiat if you don't like crypto

Real Estate Will Crash 🔥 If you want a house all you have to do is wait **If you're a current homeowner, good for you Congrats on your good job Nothing changes for you with a market crash (as long as you stay employed) This is not me rooting against you Two Parts Part One: The Current Median Sales Market Median NEW home sales price as of Q2, 2026 according to FRED: $410,700 Median EXISTING home sales price as of Aug, 2026 (the biggest portion of the sales market) according to FRED: $429,100 lmao... existing homes are more expensive than new homes Part Two: A New Homebuyer A reasonable person would wait to buy when the rent payment is about the same as the payment would be for a mortgage Why would they pay a bigger mortgage payment for the same house they could rent for cheaper??? Median asking rent in the US is $1,844 That checks out anecdotally My rent is a little higher Let's call it $2,000 to include taxes, insurance, and the mortgage (to make it equal to what this example person *myself* pays in rent) Assuming you have the fortunate means to scrape together a 10% downpayment, with mortgage rates at 7.5% today that means: Actual Median Market Value of a home in US is about $245,000 To reach equilibrium, the market would drop: (420-245)/420 = 41.66% I'll patiently wait for the right time Imo rates are going to normalize here Either wages go up 2x, or the RE market crashes/trends down for a prolonged period of time Or, the government pulls out more socialism like QE and tries to bail it out Please don't comment, "The market isn't crashing where I live!" I'm not talking about YOU I'm talking about the national average

REO & Crypto This isn't just another truck company Imo they demonstrate similar values to the original ethos of crypto before memes came and fcked it up You like open source software? How about open sourced truck (see photo) I've never felt excited to support a truck company until they came about Definitely gonna scrap together the funds and find a way to buy one of these
At the customer’s option, our team is exploring the possibility of integrating every truck with LoRA mesh capability. This technology would allow REO owners to communicate across the country for free over encrypted networks. We’re considering this for disaster scenarios and to put communication in the hands of the people. The BIS Connected Vehicles rule prohibits communication devices in automobiles with components from China so we will be building our own. Remember, every Runabout will ship in the most analog state possible so our customers can choose how much technology they want to adapt.

Being able to source your own drinking water, create energy, and actually do things in the real world will eventually be more valuable to you than the stocks you "own" in your JPMorgan account
As promised here’s a more detailed explanation about how all wars are to install a usury system. This isn’t a rant, it’s not angry. It’s just true and it is what it is. You always have a choice. Much love
