Colors are really starting to pop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire after a week of sunshine, mild days, and cold nights.
Looks like reds and oranges will be much more vibrant this year compared to 2025! @ExploreFall @FoliageReport @JimSalgePhoto

Regulatory capture?! You don’t say!
Companies begging to be regulated can self-regulate themselves or close shop. 🤡

Why is China trying to manipulate America’s debate over AI and energy?
Because they want us to lose.
The Chinese Communist Party knows that whoever dominates AI will shape the future. They want America divided, afraid to build, and dependent.
Our communities are rightly debating what should be built in their backyards. But those decisions should be based on reliable facts—not Beijing’s propaganda.
The X Safety team conducted an investigation into suspected Chinese inauthentic accounts involved in influence operations:
We identified a bot farm of approximately 200,000 accounts. Within this farm, we found 200 accounts posting in a manner that could manipulate a legitimate debate about American AI and energy policy.
These posts contained claims that AI data centers are driving up household electricity prices and straining the grid. Others included AI-generated cartoons that depicted data-center operators enriching themselves at the public's expense.
We remain committed to maintaining an open and authentic platform where people debate topics of public interest. We take seriously any attempts to undermine the integrity of the global town square and suspend accounts that violate our Authenticity policy.

Weird.
It’s almost like a lot of the public opposition has been fueled by misinformation coming from parties specifically interested in China getting an edge on AI…

JUST IN: Support for data centers jumps a net 31 points after voters are told modern facilities can reuse the same cooling water for up to 10 years, new poll finds.

The anti-datacenter psychosis sweeping through both sides of our national politics might be the worst mass movement I've seen in my lifetime. The magnitude of lies underpinning it, the threat it poses to our economy and civilization, and the sheer scale of its popularity are totally unprecedented. It should be an enduring national shame that the country that invented the airplane, landed on the Moon, and created the Internet is descending into superstitious panic at the very moment growth matters most

The anti-data center stuff is insane and clear evidence that we have entered a post-truth era where many people can be convinced, often by malicious actors, to abandon reality and allow conspiracies/falsehoods to drive policy preferences.

GIVE ME A BREAK!
Because the masses fear data centers, politicians jump at the chance to write more dumb rules.
I thought Shapiro was better than that. Guess not.
The facts on data centers:
BREAKING: I just signed an Executive Order implementing the strictest standards in the nation for AI data centers — because I will not allow Pennsylvanians to be bullied by greedy developers and bulldozed by the lawyers working for these big tech companies.
Effective immediately, we’re requiring AI data centers to commit to strict environmental and transparency requirements AND receive approval from the local community if they want to build here.
That’s not all: We’re also removing ALL data centers from our Fast Track permit program and stopping any office or agency under my jurisdiction from signing an NDA with AI data center developers.
I’m putting these developers on notice and letting them know that we will not let them bully Pennsylvanians, disregard our constitutional right to clean air and pure water, and drive up our utility bills.
I’m using the full weight of my executive authority to block the objectionable, unwarranted projects and put the nation’s strictest set of protections in place.
