My first pass at coding a Wave Collapse generation function in GMS2. It's the bare basics, and I know it can be improved a whole lot more.
I will say it again, it was a blast making Burger Rush this #LD51 and all the positive feedback I've been receiving for it.

My #LD51 entry is done. Time for sleep and to package it up in the morning.
That feeling when the game is coming together... it's so good. Just got a few more UI elements and music to add. #LD51
Finished the game flow of my #LD51 entry. Now time to make an fail state and all the UI elements.
10 seconds for a burger, get stacking.
#LD51 Progress for the evening. Going for a burger time, CSD, hectic burger making spree. The core system seems to be working... ingredient placement, burger checking, and a little animation.
#GMTK jam starts in an hour. Let's see what comes out of my brain this weekend. The guinea pig game was a blast last jam.
So, LD50 might be a bust for me. (A busy Saturday not programming kills any flow one had.)
On the bright side though, pivoting to making a whole engine for a larger project.
Ludum Dare gonna be interesting. Interesting theme but quite possibly only have Sunday to work on anything.
Debating on #ldjam around the corner, but I know my Saturday will be quite unproductive. As well, possible exhaustion after work that Friday.
Might make it a "game design" weekend with the theme, and just see if I can produce a crude proof of concept.
