I'm not sure I understand. Isn't hiring a new coach admission of a problem behind the bench? What successes would you attribute specifically to Wickenheiser during her 8 year tenure with the Leafs? I agree she was an incredible player, but that does not always translate into being a great manager which has a different skillset then that of a player.
