– at Brunswick, Germany

#OpenSource #Vereinssoftware #DSGVO #Kotlin – at Brunswick, Germany

🎉 New on InfoQ: "Your Next DSL Author Is a Language Model." LLMs write Python fluently and invent plausible nonsense in any DSL they've never seen — with total confidence, and lenient parsers let it through. The fix: Typed Domain Grounding (TDG). Embed the domain as a typed internal DSL in a language the model already knows. Design the API so domain errors become type errors. Let the compiler be the oracle. Hallucinations → red underlines, not silent wrong output. Real example from kUML (my Kotlin-embedded modeling language): an invented aggregation(...) call doesn't produce a broken diagram — it's an "Unresolved reference" compile error, live in the IDE. Benchmarked across 9 model families, with an honest look at the limits. Also in the piece: 5 building blocks of TDG, how it's orthogonal to RAG, a comparison with TypeChat/Grammar Prompting/ThingTalk, and 6 recommendations for anyone designing a DSL today. infoq.com/articles/next-dsl-… #LLM #DSL #Kotlin #kUML #TypedDomainGrounding – at Brunswick, Germany

🏛️ Introducing Lapis Cloud — complete membership management for associations and parties, with built-in self-governance. Open source, self-hostable. If you run an association or a political party, you know the pain: one tool for member records, another for accounting, a third for dues — and none of them talk to each other. Lapis Cloud solves this as a single, complete software: 🔹 Member records, join/leave workflows, dues management 🔹 Board and meeting management with a minutes book 🔹 Real accounting (SKR42) with charitable-status compliance, DATEV/lexoffice/sevDesk export 🔹 SEPA direct debit with automated dunning 🔹 Event management with online registration and QR tickets 🔹 A full self-hosted video conferencing module 🔹 GDPR, transparency register, audit log — built in from day one And then it goes further than most tools ever do: optionally, Lapis Cloud ships a genuine self-governance layer — three voting modes (meritocratic, democratic, systemic consensus), an internal member-owned currency, and a federated architecture with a real right of secession. All opt-in — if you just want solid administration, that's exactly what you get. Not a prototype: running in production at two real pilots — a political party and an ordinary registered association with no party ties whatsoever. The second proves it holds up for everyday association work, not just a niche use case. Fully open source (Apache 2.0), self-hostable. Currently v0.19.0, every change goes through independent code review + security audit. 🔗 cloud.lapisproject.dev 🔗 Code: github.com/lapisproject-dev/… Interested in a pilot deployment for your own organization? Shipped koog-gonka v0.1.0 today — a Koog LLMClient implementation for Gonka, a decentralized, blockchain-based AI compute network (Cosmos SDK chain, native token GNK). Koog is JetBrains' Kotlin agent framework. koog-gonka puts Gonka on equal footing with its built-in providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama, and others — for any Koog-based Kotlin project. Two auth modes behind one interface. Broker (API-key) auth is fully implemented, built on Koog's AbstractOpenAILLMClient to reuse its message conversion, tool-call parsing, and streaming rather than reinventing it. Wallet-based direct chain access (secp256k1 signing, identity, address derivation — ported straight from Gonka's own Go source) has its crypto primitives implemented and tested too. Wallet dispatch itself isn't wired up yet, on purpose. Gonka's own chain-bridge interface is still marked "Phase 1: interface only" upstream, and the real protocol is a stateful multi-host session, not a single signable request. Shipping an honest, clearly-documented partial feature beats guessing at a protocol that isn't finished yet. Already powers Gonka support in kUML's AI assistant (v0.52.0). Apache 2.0, de.betchvaia:koog-gonka on Maven Central. github.com/betschwa/koog-gon… #Kotlin #Koog #DecentralizedAI #OpenSource #LLM #Gonka – at Brunswick, Germany

I stopped waiting for the perfect UML tool and just built it myself. 🛠️ Meet kUML – a passion project I’ve been dreaming about for years, built entirely in #Kotlin. It’s still a work in progress, but the core is rock-solid and the feature set is already bigger than most tools on the market today. If you do UML, SysML, or C4 modeling, this is for you. Features and roadmap in the reply below! 👇 What's your biggest pain point with current modeling tools? #BuildInPublic #SoftwareArchitecture – at Brunswick, Germany
