A sensible person would open gates 1 and 2 so people from both sides of road can easily get into the station.

Entry to ticket gates is only allowed from gate 1. There is no instruction at the stairs to gate 3 that people should use gate 1. A person climbs the stairs of gate 3 and then finds that one has to now go to gate 1 to be able to enter the station.

One Example : noida city centre. Gates open only 1 & 3. Those having to go to opposite side have to now exit from either of 1 & 3 gate, which are on the same side of road, then either walk 100s of meters to the next traffic light or jump the high road median.

Most of the stations have opened only gates which are on one side of road, forcing passengers to cross the road by either walking a long distance, or jumping the medians, risking lives.
On top of that even within station entry is allowed from only 1 side.
