Ask a developer what Docker is for and you still get "it packages my app." That answer was complete five years ago. Here is one morning with one app, and five Docker capabilities most people have not tried yet.

A backup you have never restored is just a hope.
This Velero guide backs up a namespace to S3, deletes it on purpose, then brings it all back with one command. Plus scheduled backups with auto cleanup.

Kubernetes v1.37 promotes native PVC idle tracking to Beta (enabled by default)
Every PVC object now directly includes an Unused condition managed by the storage protection controller.
The moment a pod mounts and references the volume, its status flips to Unused=False, then reverts to True once the pod terminates.
We can now use lastTransitionTime inside the PVC status to automate cleanup with no custom scripts.

$250 Cloud Sandboxing Challenge opens up for the public.
What would you build if someone handed you $250 of cloud compute for AI agents?
That's not a hypothetical. Docker is giving every new Docker Agentic Platform signup a $250 Cloud Sandbox credit.
Register for an open hackathon by @Collabnix community.

Fantastic !!!
Nice!! The Kubernetes agent-sandbox project (kubernetes-sigs) just merged Docker Sandboxes example. It runs the sbx daemon inside a K8s Sandbox pod, so each coding agent gets its own microVM, egress policy, & Docker daemon, API keys stay outside agent VM

This PR adds cnpg-drill to Backup Tools. It verifies CloudNativePG Barman backups by restoring them into disposable clusters and running read-only SQL checks. The project includes a released kubectl plugin and a Helm chart for scheduled drills.
