Colombia resumes flights to Venezuela, rejects US closure of Venezuelan airspace
President of Colombia Gustavo Petro confirmed that flights between Colombia and Venezuela are continuing and rejected President Donald Trump's claim that Venezuelan airspace would be closed "completely." Petro stated that Washington can only restrict its own airlines and called on countries to restore normal civil aviation links with Venezuela, emphasizing that dialogue should replace growing tensions.
As temporary president of CELAC, Petro stated that he would call for an urgent meeting of ICAO to consider the US recommendation and defend the principle that each country maintains sovereignty over its own airspace. Colombia's Transport Minister Maria Fernanda Rodriguez Mantilla supported this position in an interview with "La Razón," saying that the notice from the US Federal Aviation Administration was politically motivated and violated basic aviation norms.
Petro invited governments and international airlines to resume flights to Venezuela and warned that companies refusing to do so may face consequences. He argued that current restrictions reflect geopolitical pressure, not technical problems.

If you believe that US-backed regime change in Venezuela will turn the country into a "beacon of liberty" you're historically illiterate.
First of all there's a long and well-documented history of US-led regime change in Latin America and the end result in the overwhelming majority of the cases is ruthless military dictatorships (Chile with Pinochet, Guatemala with Carlos Castillo Armas and later Efraín Ríos Montt, Brazil with 21 years of military rule under generals like Castelo Branco and Médici, Argentina with Jorge Rafael Videla's junta, Bolivia with Hugo Banzer's dictatorship, etc.) Which is the most liberticide type of regime on earth.
Secondly, the U.S. is pursuing regime change in Venezuela precisely to PREVENT liberty, and they aren't even hiding it.
Liberty in the context of a nation is, by definition, self-determination and control over one's own resources. Trump has explicitly stated he wants Venezuela's oil (see xitter.cf/MenchOsint/status/1995…) and the lady they want to install in lieu of Maduro has explicitly stated she'd give ownership of the country's oil to the U.S. (see xitter.cf/BenjaminNorton/status/…).
You cannot claim to be liberating a country while simultaneously planning to appropriate its strategic assets - that's the contrary of liberation, it's colonial plunder.

They want to turn Venezuela into another Libya so they can steal their oil and weaken the Latin American left.
No one is buying their lies about drugs and democracy.
No one wants this.

Maduro:
“I say it clearly to the world:
The United States is planning to plunder Venezuelan oil… they want to seize the largest oil reserve in the world as if Venezuela were a land without a people.
That will not happen… not while I am leading this nation.”

Colombia's President Petro: "A clan of pedophiles wants to destroy our democracy. To keep Epstein's list from coming out, they send warships to kill fishermen & threaten our neighbor with invasion for their oil."

‘The enemy that threatens Cuba is the same enemy that threatens everybody else.’
-Fidel Castro, who passed away on this day in 2016.
His words were a warning. Now Venezuela🇻🇪, Colombia🇨🇴, Russia🇷🇺, China🇨🇳, Iran🇮🇷…and the entire global south face the guns of the US’ empire.
On this day in 2016, Cuban Revolutionary Fidel Castro passed away.
Before the Cuban revolution, US financial interests owned:
90% of Cuba’s mines
80% of public utilities
50% of railways
40% of sugar production
25% of bank deposits
In response to Fidel Castro removing the US’ iron grip over the island nation, the CIA launched the failed Bay of Pigs invasion and tried to assassinate him over 600 times. All of them failed.
In the first 30 months after Fidel Castro and Cuba’s communists came to power, more classrooms were built in those 30 months than had been built in the previous 30 years.
Within the first six months of Castro's government, 600 miles of road had been built across the island, while $300 million was spent on water and sanitation schemes.
Over 800 houses were constructed every month in the early years of the administration in a measure to cut homelessness, while nurseries and day-care centers were opened for children and other centers opened for the disabled and elderly.
With the arrival of the revolutionary government, Cuban healthcare was nationalised and expanded with heavy investment, bringing free healthcare access to millions. Universal vaccination for childhood diseases was introduced, leading to infant mortality rates plummeting.
Cuba's 'army of doctors' is now sent to crisis-hit countries around the world. Since 1963, more than 600,000 Cuban health workers have provided medical services in more than 160 countries.
Despite being under the illegal embargo imposed by the US, Cuba now has a higher life expectancy than the US, has more doctors per capita than the US, and is among the top 35 countries for lowest child mortality rates. Under Fidel Castro's rule, UNICEF declared severe child malnutrition to be eradicated.

Venezuelans are holding a mass march right now in Caracas, together with the military, vowing to defend their country from foreign invaders.
If Trump is foolish enough to attack, this will be his Vietnam.

No Hamas control. No hostages. And yet Israel is massacring Palestinian children in the West Bank.
What's the excuse?
Israel's B'Tselem reports that Israel has now killed more than 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 2023 – quite separately from the mass slaughter in Gaza.
217 were children.
B'Tselem says: "The situation in the West Bank is deteriorating by the day and will only worsen, because there is no internal or external mechanism to restrain Israel or stop its ongoing policy of ethnic cleansing."

Gaza just hosted its own “Championship of Hope” a football tournament for amputees. Many of them children and teens who lost limbs in the genocide.
This team should’ve been in Jakarta for the World Cup qualifiers, but Israel’s blockade and border control shattered that dream.

A German Jew just said out loud what Western governments are terrified to admit:
“Germany’s crimes 80 years ago have NOTHING to do with Palestinians.
So why are Palestinians paying the price for something they didn’t do?”
Then he drops the hammer:
**“Every morning I wake up and check how many Palestinians were killed today…
How many children lost their limbs without anesthesia…
How many hospitals were bombed.
And somehow the West still can’t agree on an immediate ceasefire?”**
And the knockout line that shatters Israel’s favorite narrative:
“I’m Jewish — and I don’t want Israel to represent me.
Criticizing Israel isn’t antisemitism.
It’s criticizing a state committing crimes.”
One voice — enough to expose the hypocrisy of an entire continent.
