I’ve seen 1,000+ concerts in the last 20 years. There are very few bands that I’ve wanted to see that I haven’t. I’m lucky. But there are still elusive ones. And the #1 band of my “Must See But Haven’t Yet” list is tomorrow, God willing and the Covid don’t rise.

The three teachers at Wichita State most responsible for mentoring this fledgling writer into a journalist were Randy Brown, Les Anderson and Dan Close. All of them are gone, and so too is that era of the journalism department. RIP, Dan. And thank you.
