We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

I'd be checking which old backup apps still hold consent in my Microsoft 365 tenant. An attacker got a ConnectWise Cloud Backup (ex-SkyKick) app credential and signed in as the app, so MFA never came into it. Huntress confirmed 162 tenants; ConnectWise has pulled the service.

The way this disclosure was announced feels kind of careless. Just throwing KVM escape on some blog. And the post was close to an AI slop. 🤷
Introducing PwnEscape 🦉: a full KVM guest-to-host escape via a Linux kernel networking flaw affecting industry standard hypervisors. CVE-2026-99999 went from untrusted VM code to host-kernel memory reads, controlled writes, and root command execution. More below:

math Singularity now physics (beginning) medicine soon
🤖 Made with AI
This is massive, world changing AI news AI achieved superhuman performance in theoretical physics. GPT-6 Astra autonomously solved 49 of 50 unpublished theoretical physics research problems, 98% accuracy at under $3 per problem. $3 per problem, think about it... Crazy part? Researchers initially marked several answers wrong, only to discover that the AI had caught mistakes in calculations by world class physicists. why this is imo way more important and insane news than AI games, pics, recent software disruption? Advancing theoretical physics may give us technologies like: Practical fusion power, antimatter propulsion, relativistic spacecraft, interstellar travel, artificial gravity, vacuum engineering, micro black holes, wormholes, warp drives, solving dark matter and dark energy, theory of everything + 1000s more. we're berely scratching the surface, and super physics AI can easily accelerate our progress 1000s fold, so we can see all this in our lifetimes. just like in math , ~1000 big (unsolved by decads) math problems solved by OpenAI and Google, 50-100 years worth of progress in one week. Now we're moving this disruption and speed to theoretical physics. This will give us Star Trek (and more advanced) tech by 2030s.

People are using AI to generate, pitch, sell and publish fraudulent, impersonated journal articles and books, a serious and growing problem. What @LindaGeddes has been going through, along with what I and others have encountered. theguardian.com/technology/2…

Do we have any utilsation data in public? Because different reports say different reasons, one says access friction is real. A 7-day cap on fine-tuning leases, renewal uncertainty, eligibility hurdles and installation delays at some providers. Neysa says 60%+ of startup requests are for inference, which needs steady capacity, not short leases. Price does not look like the constraint. Subsidised IndiaAI rates are Rs 65-92 per GPU-hour, against an L1 price of about Rs 115-140.
We reported on an important story around AI and compute demand in India earlier this week. Question to academics, founders and VCs- why is there no demand for compute in the domestic market? So much so that govt is now allwping those empanelled with IndiaAI to sell it overseas. Is it a question of red tape (access), paucity of capital or lack of training/consumer AI startups that need compute

@aaronej and I had the pleasure of cohosting an AI & Security event with Professor @dawnsongtweets from @BerkeleyHaas and Linda Lu at our offices. Dawn presented on Berkeley RDI ’s research and I presented on the rise of continuous observability, behavioral tracking, and intent based authorization for securing RSI (Recursive Self Improvement) systems. Aaron then led a panel on securing AI including @NielsProvos (Former Head of Security at @Stripe; former Distinguished Engineer in Security & Privacy at @Google), Ali Golshan (Lead OpenShell at @NVIDIA, former Founder/CEO of Gretel) and Ajit Vakharia (Head of Offensive Security Products at @Horizon3ai ). We discussed how to build safe, private runtimes for fleets of runtime agents. Alignment will not solve all our security issues. Proper granular permissioning and secure by design principles will need to be followed on a continual basis. @NEA

A US residential address still counts as identity proof for too much remote hiring. DOJ charged 14 people over North Korean IT workers using Texas laptop farms and stolen US IDs at 70+ companies. About 187 devices seized, roughly $3M moved. The onboarding gap is the story.

Fuck me. Sorry, I simply don’t know how else to describe what this means for you and everyone you care about. The people working across the intelligence agencies who follow my work are excluded, because this is music to their ears. What worries me most is how this is being normalised. The more people accept it, the easier it becomes for governments to expand surveillance and control even further. This should be front page news every single day. Larry Ellison is right up there with Peter Thiel. Both wield enormous political and corporate power, and I believe their loyalties lie with interests that have very little to do with serving the American flag.
