I had begun to give up hope on good old fashioned snark. Digital communication, after all, is tragically incapable of carrying sarcasm and nuanced language.
Herewith, my faith is restored.
Hahahahahahaha!

I’m furious and heartbroken to see my country like this.
I could be prosecuted for this, but so be it. It needs to be said.
Our empathy is killing us. I stand with MY people, and they’re not my people.
Share this. We’ve had enough, and time is running out for France.

BREAKING:
French police have encountered rioters and looters armed with AK47s and Scorpion submachine guns on the streets of Paris, Marseille and Lyon.
The information comes from the Le Journal du Dimanche journalist Laura Tchekov, who says that her newspaper has received this information from sources within the DGSI, France’s main internal security agency.
The weapons were carried by minors and young adults described as being part of organized crime groups but sometimes also close to the Islamist movement in France.
The journalist says that not all armed
rioters were arrested and that several of them remain on free foot.
It’s believed that police officers refrained from making arrests as they thought they could be both outmanned and outgunned at the moment and that hundreds of people were on the streets, creating a risk of a shoot-out that could have resulted in a large number of wounded and dead.

Someone who looks at this and thinks
“Burn it”
Doesn’t belong in Western civilisation.

French journalist Paul Amar:
“They came prepared. They had the addresses of town halls. They had addresses of Jewish shop owners.
In a street in Marseille, all businesses owned by Jews were set on fire. Businesses run by Muslims weren’t”

Italy like France. Total chaos in Italy: Milan live, now, more looting, devastation and violence.
Quick game day lunch, with very little time between games. My solution:
Thin slices of Friday's baguette
Spritz with olive oil
Toast to crunchy
Rub with garlic clove (like sandpaper)
Drizzle with balsamic
Top with fresh tomato (last of season from Winberry Farm)
Top with fresh mozzarella
Lightly salt and pepper.
DID NOT SUCK. Did NOT miss game time. :-)

Saints are scheduled to leave tonight for Paris, where they play the Steelers next Sunday at Stade de France. Despite intense riots and social unrest there, the NFL says the game is on.
“Preparations continue as scheduled for NFL events and the game at Stade de France next Sunday,” the NFL said. “We continue to work closely with local authorities and partners on all operational and security matters. We are also providing the two clubs with regular updates. There’s been no disruption or impact at league sites.”
-- 2/2. Guns are also like guitars. Owning a guitar doesn't make you a musician any more than owning a gun makes you a proficient shooter. That comes from training, practice, and exercising. Ask a serious musician how much he or she practices. Uh huh.
Guns are like seatbelts; they are both tools to be used to save lives, quite possibly your own. And, like seatbelts, you won't regret having one and not needing it, but you will regret NOT having one and NEEDING it. It's a crazy world. Be prepared. 1/2 --

🚨 ELISSA SLOTKIN JUST SAID THE QUIET PART OUT LOUD AT UCHICAGO.
The Michigan senator told a room full of students she wants to go after "the people who enabled" Trump, not just Trump himself.
Then she spelled out the goal. She doesn't want young people thinking a job in the Trump administration "sounds fun."
She wants them saying, "Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems."
Her words: "I want that deterrence message."
So a sitting U.S. senator wants to scare kids out of serving their own country because she doesn't like who won.
That's not democracy. That's intimidation.
