Kronos has been in love with the music of Nicole Lizée since the first time we heard it years ago. Since then, Nicole has written a host of beautifully mind-bending and fantastical works for Kronos that have mesmerized audiences around the world.

Remembering Zakir Hussain "In the hands of Zakir Hussain his tabla became the embodiment of playful exuberance and exhilarating joy. His death yesterday has left a huge sad hole in the world of music and for musicians and music lovers everywhere.

Another memorable and proud moment was when he composed and performed ‘Pallavi’ for KQ’s Fifty For The Future project. Now not only Kronos but also any group in the world can have the thrilling experience of performing with Zakir Hussain's amazing artistry.

As good as this is, nothing can replace being on stage with Zakir Hussain and getting lifted up by the incomparable ease of his rhythmic virtuosity and the delightful, light-filled flights of his melodic genius." - David Harrington Founder of Kronos Quartet
