We are failing our children. Guns are now the leading cause of death for children in the U.S. Michelle and I mourn with the students and families of the Covenant School today.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
According to the CDC, accidents are the leading cause of death for children and adolescents. The claim that guns are the leading cause of death for children would only be true if children under 1 are excluded and 18 and 19 year olds are counted as children. cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/c… cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/a… snopes.com/news/2023/03/2… statesman.com/story/news/pol…

Thank you to @GovCox for signing legislation that allows NPs to practice independently, which increases patients' access to the high quality, evidence-based, equitable health care provided by NPs. Congrats to our Utah members who advocated for this critical practice achievement!

We miss spending time with our friends; we miss family gatherings; we miss hugging our loved ones. We want to get back to work and back to school. So, whatever your reason, get behind the mask.

So thankful we have #telemedicine options to keep providing care to our patients!
First Telehealth video visit from home during #COVID19 times with @CarolynQuinsey was overall successful! Looking forward to implementing this more in #neurosurgery practice! The key is preparation. Will update everyone on our experiences with this process soon! #Telemedicine
