This is not a slight to Jalen at all, but this is very dangerous to describe what he did as being “committed to football.” You don’t have to risk your life in the middle of a health crises to be committed to football. This is toxic. I expect better from you.
The team failed him
Sending love and prayers to Jalen Hurts.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback will miss the remainder of the NFL season after being diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs.
According to a statement released by the Eagles and his agent, Nicole Lynn, Hurts is currently stable and undergoing treatment. Thankfully, doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
Football can wait. Your health comes first, always.
We're wishing you strength, healing, and a speedy recovery, Jalen.

Michael Robinson went on national television, in front of millions of viewers, and had the audacity to accuse Jalen Hurts of faking a life threatening condition to avoid playing.
Absolutely disgraceful. He should’ve been fired yesterday.

THEY TOLD Jalen Hurts NOT TO SLEEP 🤯
YET THEY STILL LET HIM PLAY.
Are you kidding me right now????
FIRE THE ENTIRE @Eagles MEDICAL STAFF NOW.
THIS IS BLATANT MALPRACTICE.
Jalen Hurts was told by doctors not to sleep after his initial diagnosis of a superficial blood clot while in London.
Hurts stayed awake for roughly 36 hours before starting against the Jaguars.

jalen hurts deserved better as the teams franchise qb, he deserved better as their leader, and most importantly he deserved better as a human being. i’m disgusted on how they handled his well being.

“No long term effects” is the phrase I’m focused on. That’s all that matters. He has a wife, family, and future. Far beyond football, I’m rooting for Jalen Hurts to be great.

Football aside, this is really painful on a human level. Jalen goes about his work the right way and is always a professional. He’s had his character questioned many times over the years and has kept his head down regardless. I have no doubts he will overcome this, it’s just sad.

i literally was just saying yesterday that like 50% of their roster is injured - at what point do we begin looking at the coaching and the medical staff and questioning them? that’s too high of a percentage to not be incompetence on the staff

I AM BEYOND PISSED OFF!!! If Jalen Hurts decides he no longer wants to be in Philly, I 100% stand by him. THEY COULD HAVE KILLED HIM and that is not an exaggeration folks. This whole situation is disgusting…

I never want to hear another cross word about this man.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

defending a female character i don't even like because her haters are just misogynistic freaks

Who TF fakes a blood clot? He needs to be smacked in the mouth for that take.
