Thx @KCS_District for giving time for my 2nd shot! Process was efficient and fast. Appreciation to the military personnel who also assisted! Now let’s get back to the business of educating our kiddos and supporting our @KCS_Jackson families!

I've been sharing this amazing picture on Zoom class visits — kids remote learning during a polio outbreak in the 1940s. Schools shut and teachers read lessons on the RADIO. We're facing such challenges today, but as I tell kids, we've faced them in the past and gotten through.
It is easy to see why lots of family members share their devotion to our wonderful school system! @JCPotts33 @schaun_potts
Born in 1927, Betty Fuller Moore attended Jackson Elementary. Later, as a Jackson parent, Mrs. Moore served as PTA president. Be sure to read the picture notes below and tune in tomorrow for more facts about our school history @fredbetsycooper @abbiecooper! #100yrsofJackson
ALT Pictured: Abbie Cooper Kilgore (John Sevier Middle School teacher, daughter of Betsy Cooper, granddaughter of Betty Fuller Moore), Betsy Cooper (Jackson graduate, student-taught at Jackson, former BOE member, daughter of Betty Fuller Moore), and Betty Fuller Moore (son, Mack Moore and daughter-in-law Carolyn McNeil also attended Jackson). How inspiring to see generations dedicated to outstanding education!
ALT Mrs. Estelle Carmack Bandy served as Jackson principal for 20 years.
