I've started to map out all of the activities needed to launch my brand into a Gantt, any others that have done this care to share? @jaimeschmidt @mbertulli @mrsharma @aditi_sf @andrewjfaris @bzises @digitallynativ @web @chriscantino @soundslikecanoe @ryan_caldbeck
On that note, I've started to subscribe to more content, and people, focused on building D2C brands - always open to more recommendations if you have any. Others have paved the way and I have lots of new things to learn.
Excited to (finally) announce that after some time off, and deep contemplation on the beach, I'm switching gears to build up a new D2C brand. I can only hope to achieve the same success as the last 12 years have brought. A new day, a new dawn.

First full page print ad for @blueacornici in @Adweek featuring... The astronaut from Tyler's arm!?! It's too similar to be coincidence... Or is it?
Excellent work from the skilled people at @blueacornici with a great partner and solution @DynamicYield for our client Jimmy Jazz dynamicyield.com/case-studie…
Recently for my birthday (I won't disclose which one) - the team put together some pretty funny things for my office. This one in particular though I found offensive. 2 votes. Pffft. Courtesy of a @shoptalk event.
Proud and excited for the next stage in our journey. Presenting Blue Acorn iCi.

A brand called Luna is paying Amazon to get their product at the top of the search results. They only pay if someone clicks the product.
Once you click it, Amazon forces you to consider purchasing their own private label product.
This looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Amazon is now advertising their private label INSIDE THE BUY BOX OF OTHER PRODUCTS. LOL.

Holy Moly, I've watched consumer confidence for a long-time because it's a solid predictor of retail/ecomm sentiment and it just hit 133.4 a 18yr high. We could be hitting a perfect Holiday 18 storm! Buckle-up buttercup...
One of my all-time favorites - this is going to rock! 🤘If @Dreamforce wasn't already epic enough - and of course for a good cause to boot in traditional @salesforce manner
Cue the 🌟 stars! 🌟 Thrilled to announce @Metallica is performing at #DF18 Dreamfest. Get ready for an unforgettable night.

1/ I’m going to bring some heat in this TweetStorm and talk about the boards of some public CPG companies. Holy what? You’re naming names? Yes. Yes I am.
Unfortunately I can’t tag them because most aren’t on Twitter.
One of the BIG opportunities consumer goods brands have with their D2C flagship store online is to enable product personalization. Check out this recent example from @Huggies huggiesmadebyyou.com/
So I wrote an article in @Adweek today about Clark W. Griswold that you should check out. Oh, it also happens to mention the @Adobe acquisition of @magento

On another note: do you think the Magento haters have been hatin' since the acquisition by Adobe or is it just me? linkedin.com/feed/update/urn…)
Everyone emailing me their updated TOS for GDPR is giving me a really nice way to en masse opt out of a ton of email (which I never subscribed to, to begin with). Also just an overall trend, I am using the "Block" feature a ton right now. Gotta try to keep things tidy somehow...
Do you recognize these brands?
Kicked up some good conversation over on LI with my post on Amazon private label brands and the threat it poses to brands. Join the convo:
