I'll share my thoughts on the rewards for Season 0 in Vibes @ocapgames on ABS @AbstractChain
First of all – 3,800,000 $PENGU is just laughable. A ~$25,000 prize pool for a genesis season, in a game with pack/cosmetic revenue and ties to Pudgy Penguins, feels like a straight-up scam. Not only are the rewards only given to the highest rank (which I did achieve, by the way)—just 160 players—completely ignoring all the other players who spent time playing "for fun and education", but it also looks like the team is just splitting the allocated rewards among themselves.
On top of that, from the end of the season on February 21st all the way to March 14th, they took three weeks, coming up with all sorts of excuses—"cleaning up bots", and so on—only to come back and drop pennies on the top 160, where there weren’t even bots in the first place.
Honestly, I’m extremely disappointed with how @ocapgames treats its players. In Web2, maybe this kind of stuff slides, but not in Web3, guys.
I personally spent $2,500 on packs and cosmetics—10% of the entire prize pool they allocated for everyone.
Absolutely shocking.
