“Time for putin to stop invading Ukraine.” There, Elon. Typed it for you. Apparently that sentence requires more courage than you can afford.

Tomorrow my book of conflict reportage and war poetry is published in paperback @vintagebooks @ChattoBooks. Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza - it’s more relevant than ever. But the great poets help us reflect and understand. #IBroughtTheWarWithMe

Not a Versace photoshoot, this portrait was taken 108 years ago, on Saturday 3rd March 1918. As the Great War raged, French photographer Paul Castlenau travelled to Arabia (in the area now known Jordan) to take this autochrome of Fayz Bey el Azm (one of the court entourage of Prince Faisal). Fayz Bey el Azm was a Syrian. Many people aren't aware of the incredible genetic diversity within Syria. Light features like blue eyes and blonde hair are completely native to the region and have been since ancient times. This portrait was taken using an early colour glass-plate process and isn't colourised.

Squeezing through the Tube at Marylebone! I’m curious about the decorative detail framing the tunnel entrance. Does it have a specific name?

Ken Paxton is selling off Texas — our land, our water, our communities. Data centers bankroll Paxton, they get tax breaks, and you get stuck with the bill. We can’t afford Ken Paxton’s corruption. (This ad was made by humans — not AI.)

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! Today and every day, The King Center honors the rich histories, vibrant cultures, and vital contributions of Indigenous communities. As we work toward building the #BelovedCommunity, we recognize that true peace and justice cannot exist without actively advocating for Indigenous rights. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #MLK #IndigenousRights #WorldHouse

In honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day, the word of the day is “tradition.” Together with our friend Zahn McClarnon we honor Indigenous people around the world and the many ways they share their culture and traditions every day. #IndigenousPeoplesDay
