I'm a solo app developer.
In the last few months I've shipped a Bible reader, an emoji game, and an AI outfit-rating app. Plus dozens of ideas that never shipped.
Here's what I've learned so far 🧵
Apple rejected my AI outfit app under Guideline 1.2.
The reason: when you compared two outfits, my app said "Look B wins."
Apple read that as ranking people, not clothes.
Fair point honestly. I removed every trace of "winner" from the app. 🧵
What I changed:
• no "wins" text
• no winner badge
• no bigger score or highlight colour on either look
Both looks now get equal visual weight. You get feedback on each, and you decide.
👗 FitCheck AI: rate your outfit, or compare two looks side by side.
Apple rejected it first. The reason surprised me (story coming tomorrow).
v1.0 is now live on the App Store.
