It is our ability to anticipate crises, prevent them proactively or adapt when they arrive. Then turn this challenge into a wisdom that makes us stronger in the face of future crises."
د. محمد زهران، أستاذ علوم الحاسوب في جامعة نيويورك، يستعرض دور المعرفة في مواجهة الأزمات خلال #الأمم_المتحدة81: ”في عالم مليء بالأزمات، لا تقتصر المعرفة على ما نعرفه أو الموارد التي نمتلكها، بل تتمثل في قدرتنا على استشراف الأزمات، والوقاية منها بشكل استباقي، أو التكيف معها عند وقوعها. ثم تحويل هذا التحدي إلى حكمة تجعلنا أكثر قوة وقدرة على مواجهة أزمات المستقبل.“

Paralysis is never an option. By integrating on-the-ground resilience, flexible network optionality, and real-time information, we can turn disruptions into launchpads for systemic transformation."

Speaking on “Knowledge as a Crisis Compass,” Dr. @AbdallahAldard1, @UNDPArabStates, highlighted how integrating knowledge into crisis and post-crisis planning can strengthen resilience, noting that closing skills gaps could increase jobs in the region by 45% and add nearly $5 trillion to global GDP by 2030. #UNGA81

The gap between the lowest and highest performing countries has widened for four years running, reversing a trend of narrowing that had held
for decades.”
د. عبدالله الدردري، مدير المكتب الإقليمي للدول العربية، برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي#الأمم_المتحدة81: ”خلص تقرير التنمية البشرية لعام 2025 الصادر عن برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي إلى أن وتيرة التقدم في التنمية البشرية عالمياً تباطأت إلى أدنى مستوياتها منذ خمسة وثلاثين عاماً. وللعام الرابع على التوالي، اتسعت الفجوة بين البلدان ذات أدنى وأعلى مستويات التنمية البشرية، في تراجع عن اتجاه استمرلعقود نحو تضييق هذه الفجوة.“
