It's a beautiful place. Probably the reason why the hero of our next game chose it as his home! 🙂

It's a very simple hardware interface that might introduce an interesting feature to C64 gaming.

Congrats! 😃 Only the bravest make it to the 100% in the Sam's Journey Season Special!

This beautiful pixel artwork is done by John Henderson, and it's indeed part of something we're working on. 🙂

Looks like one. Either a good paint job, or it's one of those brand-new C64 replacement cases that were available in different colors.
Sam's Journey and many other great #C64 games can be played at #gamescom 2025 at the stand of @Protovision64! 😃

Found on an old 5.25" disk: a Knights of Bytes logo draft from the early 90s. Isn't it charming? Maybe we should use it one day... #c64 #retrogaming #pixelart
Missed the first batch of Sam's Journey on the #NES? Sebastian Bach of @polyplay_xyz just set up a campaign at Indiegogo to collect funds for a second run! 😃

Oh wow, yours might even be a so-called "old" NTSC C64 which has less CPU cycles available per frame than the "common" NTSC C64.

You may just have played the PAL version of Sam's Journey, that doesn't need a REU, on a PAL machine! 🙂

As many modern C64 reimplementations, such as the Ultimate 64, support an onboard REU that doesn't block the expansion port, it may make all the more sense to consider that solution.

Do you know if it's possible to enable both a REU and another cartridge image in KKF2 at the same time? If so, we could consider creating a REU-powered NTSC cartridge image version of Sam's Journey for this very usecase.
Replying to @jrmarcano
Not at the current time, unfortunately. The disk version of Sam's Journey uses an advanced disk loader which KKF2 doesn't support. The game wouldn't load.
