I love things like this, and finding weird outliers. Like why is July 1 so unlikely? It sticks out like a sore thumb (other than July 2) compared to the close dates to it. What could explain that?
Really odd that Christmas Day is the most uncommon birthday.

Gary Myers reveals that Bill Parcells has secretly paid over $4,000,000 to 20 of his former players who were struggling financially because he believed they sacrificed to make him financially secure and there is no better way to spend the money “Over the years, Parcells had loaned out a total of four million dollars to 20 of his former players who have come to him, I won't say destitute, but certainly having financial hardship.” “And Bill sat down and wrote checks for about four million dollars, which to me is completely unprecedented in sports. I've never heard of anything like that. And I said, 'Bill, why would you do something like that? Why do you feel obligated?' And he explained to me that he set aside all the money he needs for, hopefully, another 30 years of his life.” “He just turned 82. And he's given money to his three daughters and to his grandchildren, and then he has a certain amount of money left. And he says, 'What better way is there to do it than if some of my players who gave so much to me and helped make me a Hall of Fame coach and make me financially secure?” “It was because of their hard work and me driving them to be the best they can be. They gave so much to me. Now that I'm in a position to help, and unfortunately they're in a position where they need help, why shouldn't I be the one to help?'” “And, you know, people who remember Parcells, there's this hard-driving coach who had a love-hate relationship with his players. And now to see the transformation where he has become the patriarch of that team.”

A research into cat behavior shows that domestic cats regard humans as social peers rather than superiors, often perceiving their owners as large, awkward kittens. Far from being aloof or defiant, a cat’s apparent indifference stems from a profound interspecies mismatch in social expectations. As anthrozoologist John Bradshaw explains, cats—unlike dogs—never evolved to recognize humans as dominant leaders or authority figures. Instead, they filter all interactions through an exclusively feline framework. Behaviors like kneading on your lap or licking your hair are not mere displays of affection; they are the same grooming and bonding rituals cats reserve for close kin or pride members. In their eyes, we are simply enormous, somewhat clumsy fellow cats who require inclusion in the group. This absence of hierarchical deference accounts for cats’ frequent disregard of commands or household rules. Treating us as equals, they follow cat-to-cat social protocols in every encounter. The “gifts” of dead prey on the doorstep or constant shadowing around the home are acts of care toward what they see as a big, furless, rather inept companion. Recognizing this mindset transforms the human-cat relationship from one based on authority and obedience to one of mutual companionship. It turns out that while many owners believe they have domesticated their cats, the cats themselves are quietly convinced they are patiently tending to their oversized, adopted family members. I had a high school history teacher who spent the entire year teaching us to develop "casual" accounts of various historical events: Civil War, WWII, etc. I was confused why we should be nonchalant about such important events, but kept my puzzlement to myself. Eventually I realized she was misreading the word "causal".
Still one of the funniest philosophy anecdotes of all time

October 10, 1976 Giants Stadium Opens After three nomadic seasons at the Yale Bowl and Shea Stadium, the Giants play their inaugural game at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands of East Rutherford, New Jersey. Numerous Giants legends are present to commemorate the occasion — including Pat Summerall, Rosey Grier, Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Jack Stroud,  Rosey Brown, Kyle Rote, and Andy Robustelli. The visiting Dallas Cowboys, however, spoil the celebration, 24-14.

The transitions between each section are incredibly smooth. It’s so good that I got completely absorbed in this arrangement and almost forgot about the original soundtrack.

Everybody gets really pissed off when I say this and it causes World War III on Twitter, but what the hell. Everything said about Pet Sounds is true. For three songs. Wouldn't it be nice. Sloop John B. God Only Knows. Those three are amazing. Which is the pattern of all of the Beach Boys' albums when they are not including previously released tracks. The difference is these three songs are historic productions creatively, which had the wonderful unexpected result of pushing the Beatles to their greatest work. And that is obviously something the world can be grateful for. But all due respect to the masses that worship it, the rest of the album doesn't do a thing for me. There is no Beatles, Stones, Byrds, Kinks, or Who album that track for track doesn't have more great songs on it. It's not a close call. Having said that, the best thing about Art in general is it is the gift that keeps on giving, because one's perception of it changes from time to time. So maybe five years from now I will finally get it. Like everybody else.

"A couple of Brian Wilson songs on Pet Sounds." McCartney: "It may be going overboard to say it's the classic of the century – but to me, it certainly is a total, classic record that is unbeatable in many ways. I've often played Pet Sounds and cried."
