BREAKING: Seattle’s business community is putting City Hall on notice over public safety.
CEOs from Microsoft, Starbucks, Costco, Nordstrom, T-Mobile, Alaska Airlines, Zillow, the Seattle Mariners, Puget Sound Energy and others signed a letter demanding Mayor Katie Wilson and the City Council take action to address public safety
They’re calling for CCTV cameras, more police patrols, a 7-minute priority 911 response standard, crackdowns on open-air drug markets, treatment or prosecution for repeat drug offenders, clearing encampments near schools and parks — and a public safety action plan within 100 days with measurable goals and monthly reports.
The letter specifically calls out Wilson's abysmal 34% approval numbers
another banger from @nealagarwal but our designer at @helium_dev got wrecked by the algo on their Mike Wazowski sketch
By the way, we offered the merchant a 3 month refund and they declined continuing to insist they get a full 24 month refund... So I revoked the offer.
I've never used this before but seems fitting 👉 FAFO
New record! 24 months 😮
Merchant:
"I need a 24 month refund, I never used your app. And I want it now or I’ll escalate this to Shopify further. I didn't use you app."
How do you handle these refund requests?
Is Shopify App Store traffic shrinking @ShopifyDevs?
Over the past year, my daily ad budgets stayed constant, and I even raised keyword bids. Yet my total ad spend kept dropping.
I pulled data to compare YoY. Here’s what’s happening & my hypothesis on why. 🧵👇
How does spend drop when bids increase?
Math: Spend = Clicks × CPC
Raising bids pushed CPC up +59.8%. But search volume (impressions) fell -39.2% & engagement (CTR) fell -36.8%, collapsing total clicks by -61.6%.
The ad auction simply ran out of search traffic to bill against.

Lost only a few, but it still stings. Never gamed the system, never nagged merchants for reviews like some do - and with an app targeting Shopify Plus, they’re extremely hard to earn (enterprise merchants rarely want their name out there). Deleting them without so much as an email is a bad move @ShopifyDevs. Meanwhile, a negative review from someone who used my app for 10 minutes on a free trial is still up, hurting my rankings.

Guideline now charging 25 basis points to put me in same 5 ETFs I could buy myself.
Am I dumb for thinking this is a scam?
"...such as paying for tuition, job training, buying a first home, or starting a business"
But there's a $10,000 withdrawal limit for buying a house and NO exemption for starting a business.

This is so cool!!! If you have a child in these ages ranges I’d definitely apply!!
Quick summary on the new Trump Accounts + Michael & Susan Dell money for kids:
YEARS / AGE ELIGIBILITY
- Federal program gives $1,000 to every U.S. child born between Jan 1, 2025 and Dec 31, 2028.
- For kids born before 2025, the Dells pledged $250 each to 25M children who are about age 10 and under at the time of the Dec 2025 announcement.
- If there’s leftover Dell funding after the youngest kids are covered, older kids may also become eligible.
- Account opening/contributions are expected to start July 4, 2026.
WHAT QUALIFIES A CHILD
To get the $1,000 (federal) or $250 (Dell), current guidance says the child must:
- Be a U.S. citizen with a Social Security number.
- For the $1,000: be born 2025–2028.
- For the $250 Dell money: be under ~11 at the time of signup (targeting age 10 and under), and born before 2025.
- Live in a ZIP code where median household income is $150,000 or less.
- Have a Trump Account opened for them by a parent/guardian once sign-up starts.
HOW TO APPLY / SIGN UP
- Sign-up for Trump Accounts is expected to open on July 4, 2026.
- A parent/guardian will need to activate the child’s account online; the $1,000 or $250 is deposited once the account is opened.
- Parents, relatives, etc. will be able to add their own contributions each year (up to an annual limit).
WHAT TO DO NOW
1) If your kid fits these age ranges, mark July 4, 2026 for account signup.
2) Watch for official instructions from the U.S. Treasury / Invest America on how to open the account.
3) Have their Social Security number and your address/ZIP handy (ZIP income level matters).
4) If your child is born 2025–2028, they should get the $1,000 once you open the account.

Washington state's new Income Tax is about to have yet another casualty.
Venice A.I. founder @jesseproudman tells KOMO's Joel Moreno: "I have been out of state looking at other houses as well. It's just not a friendly jurisdiction to be in, when you are villainized for being an entrepreneur here."
No argument there.
Joel Moreno spells it out even more plainly:
"If wealthy job creators do leave, so too will the revenue the [income] tax is supposed to collect."
And guess who the next target of the income tax will be when that happens..
