The heartbreaking moment when you or your family member gets the devastating news of terminal illness, the last thing you need is to worry about money & bills.
So we are exempting people their families from council tax.
Thanks to @mariecurieuk for championing ending poverty.

This week, @AndyBurnhamGM and @LCRMayor were in parliament, making the case for infrastructure investment in the North.
Alongside MPs, they presented their vision for the Northern Arc, which could unlock a £90bn boost for the UK economy.
Wonderful news - not least because of what it signifies for the future of work and leadership!
Red letter day for me and Claudia. We will be taking the helm of a passionate, expert, engaged and high performing organisation championing the historic environment every day and making a difference for people, communities and places @HistoricEngland @DCMS

I did a podcast with @kluw and @DeloitteUK!! Have a listen...we can do so much more with vacant historic buildings...
Reuse England's historic buildings to create 670,000 homes. 🏡
Our 'Heritage Works for Housing' report shows that reusing much-loved heritage can cut carbon too.

Feeling a little bit Chicago & NYC here Manchester ☺️ Perfect combo of how old & new can coexist. Strong human scale streetscape with density behind. Adds a surprising new amount of vibrancy to what felt like a rather forgotten row before
A few lovely heritage days w beautiful @HerzogdeMeuron architecture @UniofOxford Finance & Dev Symposium; @DeloitteUK Futureproofed Podcast on Heritage Works w @catherine_dewar & a @BritProp @HistoricEngland @MayfieldMCR triple act policy seminar on creativity & historic bldgs
Great initiative to engage, but also capture the intangible and communal value of places.
Our #MissingPiecesProject enables you to share photos and stories about listed historic buildings in your area. 📸
That means thousands of people over potentially hundreds of years could see a memory you have shared from a moment in time. 🧩

Check my professional gal pal @Victoria_Payne on @BBCRadio4 talking all things high street. Geekily jealous and proud all in one. ☺️

NEWS // From the Firestone Factory to Robin Hood Gardens, Sainsbury's Eco store to Dorman Long tower - far too many outstanding 20th century buildings have been lost to demolition, when they could so easily have been reused ♻️
Now the Government (@mhclg) is asking architects and others in the industry for their advice on whether it should change national planning rules regarding demolition and retrofit. Do not miss this opportunity to send a strong message!

Kicked off our @HistoricEngland webinar on Heritage Works for Housing with @DeloitteUK @kluw. Our historic buildings offer so much potential for providing homes across England…we’re sharing tips and case studies. #HeritageWorks
A wonderful first day in Exeter with @HistoricEngland Places Panel. So much already happening, so much potential as they move forward with their Local Plan and tackling major brownfield housing delivery. Thank you @ExeterCouncil

Apparently the north is alright?! Articles @countryandtown (only article on ANYTHING beyond B’ham)& @FT. Usual tropes about skyscrapers replacing mills 🙄 PLUS economic&cultural recognition albeit @FT more nuanced observation that living up north doesn’t mean £s spent locally
