That’s not just a red card, that’s assault. Fully intentionally thrusts his hip into Fernandes’s head. Should be a lengthy ban for that. 🤢

🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Kai Havertz tackle on Burnley’s Lesley Ugochukwu “It’s the inconsistency that drives me mad. Week in, week out we see these challenges and nobody knows what a red card is anymore. Studs up, over the ball, from behind — that’s a leg-breaker. In my day that’s a straight red and you’re lucky if you don’t get a ban on top of it. But VAR has another look and says ‘nah, only a yellow’. What are they watching? The referee bottles it, VAR bottles it, and once again it’s Arsenal who get the benefit of the doubt. Shocking. The standard of officiating in this league is gone. Absolutely gone.”

🎙️ Carragher on PSG vs Bayern and Atletico vs Arsenal: “You watch PSG vs Bayern and that’s football at its peak. Free-flowing, end to end, quality everywhere… a proper 50-50 enjoyable game. Then you switch to Atletico vs Arsenal…and it’s a completely different sport. Stop-start, simulations, mind games… more penalties than actual football. You look at the goals… nothing from open play, everything forced. No rhythm, no flow, just waiting for the next decision. And that’s why no one is really paying attention. Because deep down, everyone knows…the real Champions League final is PSG vs Bayern.”

🚨🎙️ Paul Scholes on Arsenal and Mikel Arteta: “If Arsenal win the league, this could be one of the worst teams to ever do so. They fake injuries to avoid international duty, and they rely heavily on set pieces and throw-ins—that’s not football. They haven’t scored from open play in 300 minutes; that’s not championship form. The competition hasn’t been great either. You can never rule out Manchester City, though—if they get their defenders back and go on a long run, they could still win the Premier League.”

Had never seen this. Wonderful.
A reminder of the last time a World Cup finals draw took place in the USA in December 1993, when Robin Williams stole the show by pissing about on stage and repeatedly making fun of Sepp Blatter. FIFA hasn’t invited a comedy genius to help out since.
