I get the rationale for a Bitcoin reserve. I don't agree with it, but I get it. We have a gold reserve. Bitcoin is digital gold, which is better than analog gold. So let's create a Bitcoin reserve too. But what's the rationale for an XRP reserve? Why the hell would we need that?

To be fair to President Zelenskyy, he has seen immeasurable amounts of death, minute after minute, that changes you as a person.
And to carry the burden of an entire country, is no joke as well. to know that millions of life’s depend on him.
And Vance wants to “show his power” to prove himself in front of the media and Trump. That’s always what the new young guy at work wants to do.
A president of any nation is a position of respect, big or small, and a vice president should never try to shame a president of other country like that. Much even less in public.
It is obvious that the USA has a position of power, no need to shame and crush the president of another country in front of the media like that. That’s not good manners. Specially when this man has had to bear the destruction of his nation and he is still standing. He deserves some respect. He has earned it and BILLIONS of people around the world know it.
It is known that when American soldiers come from war, they come with a lot of pain, and sorrow, and they get respected as veterans. How much more respect should have a soldier who has seen a much larger scale of death? And the entire result of the country rest on him?
That deserves the utmost respect.
Ultimately heated discussions should happen at closed doors not in public.
At the end of the day. Only president to President can talk to east other as equals. Let Trump do the hard talk.
This was not the way to treat a president of any country.
While doing so might be popular for people in the USA, the other of us, BILLIONS outside in the world, don’t like to see that the USA will bring to their knees morally a president in front of the media just to look cool.
That is not the way of the great men who have graced this earth. I hope Vance learns the proper manners of a gentleman as he gets older. And should have acted differently.
You’re not shaming ONE guy. You’re shaming MILLIONS of Ukrainians making them feel like second class people, and taint their history with this event.
If the Vp of the USA truly wants to show greatness, learn the ways of gentlemen.

I’ll start broadly: if you intend to invest in crypto assets, exercise extreme caution. The market is still in its infancy. I remember the 1990s in our country, when the transition from socialism to capitalism saw the birth and simultaneous collapse of many investment funds. The crypto asset market will experience similar failures and successes. So, only invest money in things you understand and are willing to accept the risk of potentially losing your entire investment.
Bitcoin, however, is a different story. It should not be lumped together with other crypto assets. We central bankers should study it and explore the technology it is built on. Studying bitcoin won’t harm us—on the contrary, it will strengthen us.
At the CNB Bank Board meeting on 30 January 2025, I tabled a proposal to analyse the possibility of creating a bitcoin test portfolio. This step is motivated by a desire to learn about and try out this highly risky alternative asset. I emphasised the need to adapt to changing conditions in the financial markets and to explore new reserve management options.
I stated that bitcoin is highly volatile and could one day be worth one of two extremes – either zero or a huge amount. I also stressed that bitcoin is a high-risk asset for professional investors who are aware of all the risks.
The Bank Board approved a proposal to analyse the options for investing in additional asset classes. Based on the results of the analysis, the Bank Board will then decide how to proceed further. No changes will be implemented in this area until then.
It is important to emphasise that this is the initial stage of the analysis and discussion. The final decision will depend on the outcome of the analysis and the subsequent decision of the Bank Board. @CNB_cz

Czech National Bank’s goal is price stability. When we took office in July 2022, inflation was 17.5%. We brought it down to target. We are also diversifying reserves—gradually increasing gold holdings from 0% to around 5% and planning for 30% in equities. An asset under consideration is Bitcoin. It currently has zero correlation to bonds and is an interesting asset for a large portfolio. Worth considering. Right now, it’s only at the stage of analysis and discussion. The Bank Board decides, and no decision is imminent. Thoughtful analysis is needed.
Bitcoin has significant volatility, which makes it harder to take advantage of its current low correlation with other assets. That’s why I will ask our team on Thursday to further assess Bitcoin’s potential role in our reserves. Nothing more, nothing less.

You see through the noise, the distractions, the shiny new coins and chains that promise easy gains but only lead back to the same system we were trying to escape.
Integrity is everything. If you bend the knee to easy money, to shortcuts, to short-term glory over long-term truth, you were never really here for the revolution.
Bitcoin requires no leaders, no idols, no egos. It only requires conviction. Hold the line. Stay the course. The system will fall. And when it does, only those who held firm will build what comes next.

The issue isn't between single and multi-sig. Both work great.
The issue is demonizing self sovereignty by pretending some security loophole exists where it does not, and using that false claim to shill products and services.

We are converting all our #ETH to #Bitcoin. It’s a tough decision because I was there when ETH launched on Coinbase at $4 and that’s difficult to let go. It’s been a great ride, but it’s time.
Ethereum, in my opinion, is something awesome that you get when you need it for gas for DeFi, RWA, NFTs, or whatever.

#Bitcoin is not nor ever has been a hedge against inflation. That narrative came from the “digital gold” narrative bc after all, gold at its best could only be a hedge against inflation in this modern fiat world.
Remember that Bitcoin is the separation of money and state, the ultimate OPT OUT to a new monetary standard.
Inflation isn’t something you hedge against anymore, it’s a sign of a broken currency that must be replaced.
Act accordingly.
