would’ve won this game if we had stayed out of the penalty box btw. mcdavids bubble wrapped by the refs but ultimately not an excuse since we had this exact same problem during the playoffs. need to squash it now before it continues to hurt us

We did not deserve to win this game. Brought it into OT but still lost because there was no sustained pressure at any point and while there were a few iffy calls it’s still not an excuse. we had ample opportunities that we did not capitalize on.

special teams were abysmal. oilers walked all over our penalty kill and our powerplay was entirely useless. we took stupid penalties and too many dangerous turnovers and left wally to fend for himself far too often. we can’t expect him to save our asses every single game.
