@northropgrumman's #Antares rocket crossing the Moon on its way to the @Space_Station. This is supposedly the first photo like this in 20 years and I almost can't believe it. #Cygnus #NG14 #CRS14 @NASA_Wallops #NASA #lunartransit
Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket.
I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster?
Well...now we have an answer.

Tri-Core Transit. 😎
Whilst boosting the Roman Space Telescope up to the Sun-Earth L2 point, Falcon Heavy decided to take a serendipitous stroll in front of the solar disk.
What an insane moment. @NASASpaceflight

At 7:48am ET this morning #SpaceX launched their Falcon 9 rocket from launch pad SLC-40. 53 seconds into the launch the rocket transited in front of the sun from the exact location I was setup at. Just as I captured this split second shot a shock collar around the rocket’s fairings formed.

The Moon reappearing in Seattle after slingshotting four astronauts back toward Earth. @NASAArtemis #ArtemisII @space_needle
About 3.5 hours before the @NASAArtemis II crew surpassed the record distance from Earth set by Apollo 13, the Moon was setting over the @space_needle in Seattle. Such an incredible feeling to gaze at the Moon knowing that people are nearby looking back at us.
