the fact that grass can become a sweater through the intermediary of a sheep ought to astonish us more than it does.

I wish the color white was standardized in clothing. Why am I opening the dryer of white clothes and see a rainbow of white 😂. Same goes for the color black!

Bolivia has 37 official languages.
The US does not have one.
We do have some pretty universal hand gestures, though.

So once upon a time College Game Day would be looking at being in Big Rapids Michigan on 11/14 for potential 41, a record, and highlight the program, the heroes of it, the close calls along the way, etc
But now they’ll probably be at 1 of 3 sec sites to revisit the same stories they have all year

1) if you have a known medicial expense that your saving for, you can enroll and have access immediately. This is great if you have an expense medical thing
2) it saves you money cause w/e you put in is untaxed. So say you make 50k, put in 5, tax time you only made 45k
Well this is dumb and reflects poor hiring logic lol
If I were to give a single CV advice for SWEs looking for a job - delete "language X"/"framework Y developer" from your title right now. If you position yourself as a "Go developer" you are getting clocked as a meat proxy, and you must position yourself as a problem solver.
The only people who get a pass are C++ programmers. C++ is so crazy that you actually need a lot of expertise in the language itself to be able to even read it.
Funny enough the bible explicitly talks about this and Paul basically clarifies hey don't go to the temple to get meat (cause people might think you're there to worship). But meat you buy in the market where the meat could be from anywhere it's not a big deal use good judgement

my spidey senses are telling me the labs are, as we speak, using unguardrailed versions of their unreleased models to systematically reverse-engineer ALL of the internet’s software, apps, and games, then feeding the reconstructed source code straight into their training pipelines while simultaneously building guardrails to ladder-pull the rest of us

GOOD NEWS: National Weather Service morning balloon launches have officially returned to normal levels while offices across the US have filled various vacancies. It seems like after an incredibly stressful and tumultuous 20 months in our industry, things are moving back to normal.
It’s important to remember though that the fight must continue. The United States of America has long been the global leader in weather infrastructure. We must do everything to ensure NOAA, and by extension the NWS, is fully and properly funded to maintain this status and continue to innovate. Accurate and timely forecasts save lives and keep money in your pockets.
