I am so honored and privileged to have the former Attorney General @EricHolder behind me in the DC Delegate's race.
He says that: “This moment demands more than another politician. Replacing the legendary Eleanor Holmes Norton requires someone with toughness, resilience and the ability to fight and win on the national stage.
Kinney Zalesne is that person.
She has Eleanor‘s backbone and persistence and the experience of getting results that DC urgently needs as Trump‘s attacks leave the city more vulnerable than at any point in my lifetime.”
Thank you so much for your endorsement, Eric!
Congratulations to DC Council-member @RobertWhite_DC who ran a strong campaign and secured a decisive victory. I have called him, wished him great success, and offered my assistance in any way he needs going forward.
We got into this race to defend Home Rule, advance statehood, and salvage an economy Donald Trump has put at unforgivable risk. Along the way we gathered friends, neighbors and supporters in every Ward and neighborhood. And we will need them because those fights are still very real.
I am so grateful to everyone who knocked doors, made calls, contributed funds, collected signatures, sent emails, and hosted meet-and-greets across the city. We up-leveled this race in ways that will last!
As we said all along, it’s easy to say what divides this nation’s great capital. But what unites us is at least as powerful. New York is the city of money. LA is the city of fame. But DC is the city of service — federal service, community service, and service to one another. We need to know this shared strength to overcome our odds. And America desperately needs what we have. Let’s keep working to make America serve one another again. DC can show the way.
Looking forward to seeing the results come in tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the DC Primary!
Thank you to all the incredible volunteers and team members who have been with me for this amazing and fun journey. Now let’s go vote and win this thing!
2 Days until the DC Primary!
My kids assure me that is a good thing to be told that I am “mogging” my opponents 😅
Thank you to @Ward5FamilyBike for having me at their June ride.
If you walk, bike, or drive to the polls, be sure to rank me number one for DC Delegate by June 16!
“ICE is the beginning of a personal para-military force by this President. And if we let him get away with that, he’s coming for every one of us...”

3 Days until the DC Primary!
I am committed to the young families of DC. If we can’t keep the young people who grew up here and want to stay or have just moved here in this city, we will not thrive as the District of Columbia!
After polls close and we knock our last doors and make our final calls to voters, please join Kinney, campaign staff, volunteers, supporters and donors to watch election returns at Barcelona Wine Bar in Cathedral Heights. It all comes down to Election Day!
DC has been faithfully served for over 3 decades by Delegate Norton, and I want to build on her legacy. My name is listed first on the ballot. I’d be honored to have your 1st choice ranking.
4 Days until the DC Primary!
It doesn’t matter if it’s cold or 95 degrees outside, my team and I are going to be out working to win this election to serve the people of DC.

As one of the top 3 candidates for DC Delegate, I sat down with Robert Devaney, Francis Rienzo and Bill Starrels of @TheGeorgetownr to discuss how I will defend DC's autonomy while rebuilding and redefining its economy.

Thank you so much to the @stonewalldems51 for having me at their Rank My Drag event last night.
I had a great time discussing my vision for the Delegate role and DC's future.
Yesterday, the President threatened to strip DC of Home Rule if he does not like the election outcome in our local elections. We stand together to say clearly: that is an attack on democracy.
No President should threaten our right to govern ourselves based on how we vote. Threatening to override an election before it happens is exactly the kind of federal interference DC residents have fought against for generations.
The people of DC decide who leads DC, not Donald Trump. We stand with the voters of the District of Columbia, and against any attempt to undermine our Home Rule.
